Would highly recommend - very modern and airy - close to the Flamingo Land. Large spacious accommodation and if I am honest - best lodge we have ever stayed in.

Although we didn’t venture into Hovingham itself the pub has the history of cricket in the village depicted by pictures and a knowledgeable landlord if you ask.
We loved the calm relaxed atmosphere of the pub and its beautiful surroundings.
All the staff are really friendly and there’s plenty of snug areas other than the bar in which too relax.
Definitely recommend this place.

I liked the Worsley Arms immensely it was full of character and local flavour. The bar was so snug and friendly. Breakfast individually cooked and served and delicious. My room was all I needed for a weekend stopover to do a local art workshop. I would happily stay there again for the friendliness and helpfulness of Tony and Sally running the show seemingly effortlessly. Thank you for a great wee stay.

The location was ideal if you want to see the Yorkshire Moors and surrounding areas. The coastal towns of Whitby and Scarborough are easy to get to by car.
We found a great pub about seven miles away in Old Malton, The Royal Oak. Great food and lovely staff.

The black sheep beer was good.
The black sheep beer was good. The breakfast was good (apart from “high” sausages) There were plenty of coat hangers!
The whole place is tired and NOT clean. The bathroom was filthy and not what one would expect for £132 per night. The bedside lights and shades had not been cleaned for many months.

Everything was great.
Everything was great. If we had realised about the cottages opposite, we would have chosen those to save us using the stairs in the main Hotel.
We liked the flexibility of meal times.
We enjoyed a walk around picturesque Hovingham, the church and Tea rooms.
Close by, the Lavender Fields, Helmsley, and Moors. Also Nunnington Hall and Rievaulx Abbey. A day trip to Saltburn by the Sea is a chance to smell the sea air.

Lovely small village. Only pub now more an eatery.
Lovely small village. Only pub now more an eatery. Lovely bakery and another food shop. Walks around about including Ebor way.
Near to NT nunnington hall. Castle Howard only 5 miles or 8 minutes drive away.
My first impressions were great. Lovely old rambling hotel with character and ambience. Very attractively set out and furnished in the lounge with quality furniture which looked new. Staff were very friendly throughout and clearly love dogs (took a tiny one). The food was very good especially in the evening in the bar restaurant. The room was spacious, well furnished and the bed comfy. With a full size bathroom.
The hotel was very clean, friendly and well equipped. They have a gorgeous garden too.
The hotel was cozy and comfortable with a lot of charm and character. The staff was friendly and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. We ate dinner and breakfast at the hotel and the food was well prepared and very good. Special thanks to Sally, Tony and Gary who were very knowledgeable about the history and heritage of the town and their assistance in directing us to the Estate office where we were able to experience more of Hovingham Hall.
The food is excellent - We had an Evening meal and Breakfast, both were outstanding. The Cricketers Bar with the real fire is warm and welcoming and so cosy. The whole building is exactly as you expect a country Hotel/Pub to be. Full of charm and character. The owner's Tony and Sally go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. They are on duty when you go to bed and when you get up for Breakfast. Both work incredibly hard to make your stay excellent.
We had a 6 month dog with us so asked for a room with easy access to outside and were given one of the outside rooms opposite the hotel which was perfect. The staff were really friendly and helpful when we asked if we could have breakfast 10 minutes before their normal 8am start on the day we left. The hotel location was a few minutes drive from Castle Howard and 30 minutes from York.
great off-street parking behind the hotel, draught beer, good food, extensive breakfast, outside seating, very quiet room (no traffic noise at all, but the room was to the rear of the hotel)
Breakfast was brilliant, the bed was reasonably comfortable
Decent price for drinks
Being in a separate part away from the main hotel building.
A very nice village to stay at
The Hotel had old charm and character, a little tired on the decor in places. The staff were welcoming and accommodating our requests was no problem. Good breakfast and supper.
