Lovely cozy hotel with details like wellington boots to borrow, fresh milk to your room in the morning and the radio on when you arrive with some great jazz music. The restaurant in the pub was absolutely delicious for dinner and really high quality food. Comfortable bed and great location to explore a small village and beautiful countryside. Loved that it wasn´t in a touristy town but was close to Cirencester.

Location was wonderful for the town. Nevertheless, the proximity to the busy road meant it was noisy if windows were open. ( Actually, the windows were extremely difficult to open!). The staff were very pleasant and helpful

Bibury (Buy bury) was a WONDERFUL little town with so much history. We loved stepping into this quiet town, embracing the history of Arlington Row and the surrounding Cotswolds area. The Swan Hotel and restaurant were special. Thank you for a wonderful vacay. This town is a MUST VISIT in the Cotswolds.

Bibury is a lovely little village in the Cotswold.
Bibury is a lovely little village in the Cotswold. Highlight was of course the Arlington Row. Very pretty. The small river is beaming with wildlife. We saw water voles and hummingbird hawk moths! The village has one pub and a hotel. Food at the pub was good. I prefer this village than Burton upon the Water.

A very pretty village worth only a 2-3 hour visit.
A very pretty village worth only a 2-3 hour visit. Avoid at bank holidays, school hols and week-ends as you will not find a parking place. Even if you do, you will be jostling with hundreds of other visitors in limited space. If you can get a table, lunch at The Swan is very pleasant. The whole village, trout farm, cottages etc can be seen on foot in an hour or two. Not particularly interesting for kids.

Bibury is a quintessentially chocolate box Cotswold village...
Bibury is a quintessentially chocolate box Cotswold village but unlike quite a lot of them it is quiet rural in its centre and spacious. Quite a few Cotswold villages are clustered together around either the main street or for example a market square but Bibury is so calming and pretty
Arlington Row is definitely worth the visit and I would guess walking around the area is fabulous but we didn't get a chance to try
However if you wish to have a little bit of something going on ie a choice of restaurants, boutiques and bars then Bibury is not for you
I booked Sycamore for my wedding at a Cripps venue, which meant that I was also getting ready there with my bridesmaids, hair and makeup artists and mum. It was absolutely perfect; lots of space, great outside area, beautiful bathroom and shower with large mirror, lovely bedroom and sociable breakfast bar. The owner was lovely and even cleaned the room for us after we left for the venue and tied ribbons around the apartment to make it extra special! It was all just perfect and I am so glad we decided to book here! Highly recommend.
Besides being maybe the most beautiful property on the planet I’ve ever seen, the people really made it an experience we’ll never forget. Valentina and Jake in the restaurant and bar just restored my faith in humanity. How did I live my life until now without knowing them? Darik (I hope I’m spelling that correctly) at the front desk just greeted us so sweetly. Even the lovely housekeepers went above and beyond with us. Everything and everyone in your charming hotel were just that…charming.
Our room was lovely and quiet. We looked out over the bridge and water so a perfect view. The bathroom had enough room for our various bottles and cosmetics and the shower was easy to operate. All of the people were very helpful and the servers in the dining room was very friendly - Marie especially. The overall decorations was charming and well suited to the hotel and location. We really enjoyed our meals there, both breakfasts and dinners.
We arrived earlier than planned, and the staff kindly let us park the car and check in 2 hours before planned time.
Impressive double bedroom, very clean, with plenty of electric sockets available. The downstairs sitting/breakfast area is nice as well. Breakfast itself was quite good as well
Location is good too, within a short walking to the centre of Bibury, with pubs and iconic views to enjoy, but away from all the tourists and cars
The location of the Sycamore is perfect, both to explore Bibury, but also the rest of the Cotswolds, as by car you need less than 2 hours to reach the furthest villages. The house is beautiful and with a few tweaks it would be impecable! The terrace is great for sunny days, and so is the BBQ that is available. Also the welcoming cupcakes and prosecco were a very nice touch!
Absolutely everything. It was clean, comfortable and very modern with some tasteful older furnishings. The bedroom was massive and the bed was hotel standard. The bathroom is very modern and well fitted out. It is in a very quiet location in a nice village.
The breakfast was lovely. We stayed for 2 nights and the evening menu was the same both nights and we found the menu was somewhat limited. And as the hotel did not offer bar snacks or room service, we ate out on the 2nd night.
I can’t remember the lady who took our food order whenever we came for our meals, a person from Romania that’s what I know. She was extremely helpful and friendly. She was the best staff at the hotel we interacted with.
The house was perfect for our needs, very clean, and located nearby to a party of friends who were celebrating with us in Bibury. Ideal for surrounding places of interest
beautifully decorated, quaint hotel with excellent service and very friendly staff! great facilities and value for money! we had a lovely time, thank you for everything!
Lovely characterful place right in the middle of Bibury. Really handy for either the Catherine Wheel or the Swan Hotel. All the facilities you could need for a few days
