A beautiful remote area, we arrived later than our check in time and was able to check in on arrival. The children got to explore around the grounds and loved the river at the bottom, especially the lions. A beautiful accompaniment to our little family trip. Had a lovely view from our room overlooking a field that had horses, children loved this!

Very clean apartment. Easy to find and access. Staff were very responsive and sent details about entry in excellent time. Views were great from the balcony. All rooms were very clean and comfortable. Parking was easy to find even with 2 cars. This is a great place to explore the East coast of Scotland. We will be booking again when we arrange our next trip.

The Kinloch Arms is a stunning 1800s-style building with many of it's original features. It has a large restaurant, free Wi-Fi and a bar, and is close to championship golf courses and the coast.

Was a bit dubious as I walked through the entrance, but once in my room I was happy. The room was a really good size, very clean and the bathroom looked like it had been recently renovated. The shower was great, easy to use and plenty of room to move around. There were complimentary toiletries, and a large bottle of corked water, which was great. As the hotel is part of the pub I was afraid that it might be really noisy, but honestly it was really quiet, there was a football match on the Saturday and even though you could hear the laughing and cheering from the revellers, it was no bother at all.

Always good for a fish supper
The bellrock music festival was on while I was there, so the atmosphere around the bars was really good.

Arbroath is a lovely place & we enjoyed walks to the harbour & along the clifftops. Apartment is conveniently near the shops & Wotherspoons (The Corn Exchange) where we ate frequently. Having supermarkets nearby & a nice kitchen meant we could also just eat at home when we wanted. Great having a private parking space & we took the car to Montrose & Stonehaven.

We enjoyed walking the coastal path and using buses or train to return from destinations Auchmithie and Carnoustie. Wide choice of eateries. Note some close Monday Tuesday. High street could use attention from Council as could many but less prominent letting boards and use of windows to direct visitors to history podcasts online and show historical or current pictures of rich geography and heritage of town would make things look much better.

Lighthouse Museum worth a visit, Abbey was fenced off and...
Lighthouse Museum worth a visit, Abbey was fenced off and closed, streets are dirty, almost every Ladies toilet I visited was manky, especially ASDA. Shops all closed down, used Durex lying along the walk at seafront, very run down looking. Webster Theatre is lovely. Webmor Cafe next door to Theatre is lovely. Lunan Bay is lovely but local authority bins not emptied. Lovely museum in Montrose, very interesting, small but, we spent 2 hours, curator was interesting and helpful, lack of reference to Oil Industry so suggested for future. National Trust, House of Dun only has set guided tours to early afternoon, Montrose itself is run down also. Local authority needs to tidy up its towns and Scottish Government(the bigger cooncil) need to get their act together with regards to tourism as a future income for the economy!
I have stayed in some 5 star rated hotel that could lean from this place the Brucefield Boutique and it's owners made my visit all the memorable. When I visit Arbroath again I will definitely stay here again. Just to add I left my travel dhobi bag and the Brucefield emailed to tell me and the posted it down to first class what can I say but thank you very much and you will the standard that I will look for in other hotels/B&B and thankyou for making my stay better by your service and curtesy and attention to detail
Dog friendly and even had little dog bowls and other cute doggy touches. The cottage was equipped with everything you could need and more. Decorated simply but beautifully and very warm and cosy. The wood burner was a gorgeous touch which we loved having on at night with the feet up and a film on. Location was amazing. Situated in such a quaint little village with quick access to a stunning pebbled beach. Also super close to larger towns like Arbroath and short drive to Lunan Bay and other great locations.
I've just retired from the cruise ship industry and I can wholeheartedly say that Brucefield Boutique B&B will exceed your expectations. From the room, breakfast and Swiss hospitality, this was an exceptional experience.
Brucefield Boutique B&B was just nominated as a finalist for the Best B&B in Scotland. On our last evening, the judges stayed at the property. I'm anxious to hear if they won!!
When we visit family in the Arbroath area, Brucefield boutique B&B will be our home away from home.....
Never got to stay.
After booking on line receiving a text to say cars needed approval. Tried 5 times to approve but hotels system kept crashing.
Phoned several times no response.
Sent message request return call
Not received.
As I had no idea if the room was available or not I had to book elsewhere.
Explained this to the hotel In Writing
Despite this the hotel refuse to refund the payment they took. Even without the supposed authority to take
Shocking service...
The location is idyllic, in a little hamlet surrounded by countryside but still only a 30 minute walk into the centre of Arbroath. The cottage is a delight, with everything you need to enjoy your stay all there. Angela our host had left some essential provisions in the kitchen ready for us arriving meaning we could relax as soon as we got there. The garden and conservatory are a real sun trap and a delight to sit in.
Flat was great location . Spacious and clean.Garry was great at communicating if we had any issues.First class host
The artwork of Arbroath on walls was fascinating.
View of sea and cliff is only from Upper bedroom . Lovely area and cliff walk 8 miles is brilliant. Best places to see a sunrise as well. Close to shops and great base for travelling the area . We had good weather which was lucky .
The room was large, beautifully decorated with comfortable and tasteful elements. The view of the North Sea, the peaceful ambience and warm welcome were above our expectations. The location allowed walking to restaurants, the beautiful cliffs, the excellent bell rock museum and bike/walking trails along the sea. We fell in love with Arbroath.
Brilliant location. I am originally from Montrose and have visited the hotel for the past 3 years. Always a lovely stay. We love visiting the beach bit also the bar and grill on site. Always made to feel welcome, including the dogs. Breakfast never fails to satisfy.
Ideally situated to walk to sightseeing locations around Arbroath. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff were all friendly and helpful. An appetizing dinner menu. It is a popular place to fine so would advise booking ahead.
Perfect location to visit the area.
The apartment is spacious and equipped with everything you need.
Jules, our host, has been incredibly welcoming and helpful with many great recommendations.
spotless and newly refurbished I think. large and lots of space. the owner came to say hello when we were in the restaurant below where we had an amazing Arbroath Smokey for our tea.
Beautiful, large house with all mod cons.
Quiet rural location.
Staff communicate well via text
