This was one of the two or three best stays of our 6-week vacation. Our hostess was absolutely charming, and served us not only excellent breakfasts, but two wonderful dinners, with choices of wine from the chateau.

We had a lovely stay at Casa Cessenon. Caroline and Ignacio were both very nice and welcoming. The room was beautiful with a small balcony (and one in the bathroom as well). Looked like in the pictures. Excellent breakfast included. Close to the village centre where you can find nice restaurants and also take a swim in the river Orb. We would definitely stay here again if visiting Cessenon.
Madam Jocelyne and her husband were fantastic. They really went the extra mile to ensure all our needs were met, from arrival right through to check out. The chateau itself is absolutely beautiful, pictures simply do not do it justice. We were in awe of how well the couple had restored it. The attention to detail and dedication to ensuring the chateau was sympathetically restored really was admirable. The chateau was also wonderfully decorated, with furniture and artefacts Madam Jocelyne had collected from around the world.
Upon arrival we were brought through to the dining area and immediately given cold drinks along with coffee and biscuits (we had just finished a few hours of travelling on a very hot day). I should also point out that the couple refused to allow us to pay for these extras and would not add it to our bill, which was so kind and hospitable of them.
Although the chateau was fully booked during our stay we were the only guests booked for breakfast, and were blown away by the wonderful spread that Madam Jocelyne and her husband put on just for us each morning. We were served fresh home made lemon cake, crepes, pastries, fruit, cold meats, large selection of cheeses, coffee, and freshly squeezed orange juice each day. We were also given exception pain perdu on our last morning, which was such a treat.
Our room was beautiful, spotlessly clean and the beds were really comfortable. The aircon was also really appreciated in the height of July heat. Breakfast was served in the beautiful courtyard, and we were absolutely delighted to discover the chateau had an amazing play area for kids too. The area was stocked with so many toys that our kids couldn't believe their luck. For us, travelling with small kids, it was such a delight to have this area to occupy the kids on the hot afternoons when we had finished exploring Murviel-lès-Béziers or returned from the beach (Serignan).
Overall we loved our stay here, and will definitely return one day.
