The location is perfect to see the Northern Lights. We saw it twice right from our cabin. The location was also very near the ski lifts and tobogganing slopes. We also appreciated the fully-equipped kitchen and clothes dryer that could warm your clothes on a very cold day! The heated glass roofs also ensured we always had a clear view of the sky. We walked down town (about 25 minutes slow walk) to get groceries to cook, though the uphill could be a challenge. The personal sauna was a bonus. We booked the taxi airport transfer through the property and the lady was great. She helped us with our luggage and opened the doors for us, which was very helpful since it was a self check-in property and it's not always easy figuring things out in the cold!

It was the best decision to stay at this property far away in the wilderness. We opted for half board (food was delicious) and all activities offered by the resort and it made our stay super convenient and memorable. Highly recommend this property and their activities.

Experience of Igloo stay was as expected. Room & Bathroom too small. Not even a proper mirror in the room/bathroom. Resort location is quite good - just off the main road and very short walk from bus station.

If you're going skiing, Saariselkä is a good option and you can stay there for a week, for example.
If you are looking for the Northern Lights, maybe 3 nights would be ok, but you you should pray for good weather, with clear skies, and , of course, for the aurora to appear.

Saariselka has everything you need for a winter lapland trip! The ski resort is at walking distance, there are more than three DMC's to chose from when booking trips, there are plenty of restaurants and pubs. THe supermarket is big for a small town and offers all you need. Note that you can't buy wine in the supermarket but there's a small store next to it called Alko where you can pick up a bottle of wine.

It is a small and quiet town. Air is very fresh. Trees with snow on it are very beautiful. You can have many snow activities here. If you stay several days and the weather is good, you may have opportunity to see Aurora.
Bus is very convenient. You can go from Rovaniemi. You can also take bus to Ivalo and Ivalo airport.
Restaurants are very good in this small town.

It is a very beautiful place, but it is expensive. I just stayed for one night in a beautiful cabin. I think that the food is ok and also there could be some more interesting things to in the Hotel do when it gets dark.

You can do many activities - skiing, biking, hiking, relaxing, observing, and enjoying Lapland nature. You have a big chance to see the Aurora Borealis. There is a very comfortable and understandable system of day huts and wilderness huts with essential equipment in and out of the national park — an excellent place for people who love nature.
This is a beautiful property, just outside the centre of Saariselka. Upon arrival we found it had everything we could possibly need and more! It was warm, cosy, clean and absolutely perfect for our stay. The sauna was amazing to relax in after being out in the snow all day and the addition of a Christmas tree was a much welcomed bonus! Surrounded by stunning scenery and just a 10 minute walk into town and to the shops etc. We loved everything about it and would 100% stay again!
This apartament has all you need for perfect holidays with friends/family. Very clean, a big balcony, calm but near the centre.
The vacuum cleaner was broken when we arrived but got straight away a new one - excellent "room service". I would say 5* facilities and the quality of the material in the apartment. We also profited once the breakfast offer at the hotel which was a good and practical choice for the last morning and would have done more often if tested before ;-).
The accommodation itself was superb. The buffet was amazing. Lots of activities possible in the hotel and easy transport to the ski slopes of Saariselka is also available. The view our room was amazing with direct view onto the forest. Do be aware though, cloudy weather can prevent viewing of the northern lights. End of march or end of september are the best times to view it. In winter theres a lot of heavy snowfall which means a lot of clouds.
The hotel was on top of the Kaunispaa fell which is the best place to see aurora in Saariselka and also has magnificant view. It is also very close to the ski centre that offers excellent ski and snowboarding opportunities.
You need to make reservation for Kaunis Restourant. It is worth it with excellent taste of dishes.
We stayed in aurora cabin. Very clean and comfy. Best view in day and night.
There was so many options in breakfast.
Beautiful cabins with all modern luxuries. Beautiful modern scandinavian design and amazing views over Saariselkä town from the gorgeus fjell of Kaunispää! Fell in love and will return in future many times. Restaurant was great and sauna with fjell view was also wonderful. There was also option for hot tub, but chose to take it in future with someone lucky lady.
Aurora Collection was one of the best boutique hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The concierge was so amazing with coordinating activities and transporting me around. I love that there was a sauna installed in the bathroom as well and washing machine and dryer. The kitchen was fully equipped for nights I felt like staying in and the vibes are incredibly cozy.
The Sauna room, we spent time there almost everyday, free laundry, very friendly and helpful staffs around, fast respond to our message, excellent location that the bus stop is just opposite, spacious and of cause the good breakfast. We really enjoy our time in Saariselka Inn. Will recommend to all my friends and family.
Amazing resort in the northern heart of Finland. Great value!
Splendid food at the restaurant. Super tasty. Great igloo that is well designed to offer a clear view of the sky without light glare on the windows.
The staff is super friendly and helpful. Get some tours, we liked the ski experience.
USuperb place.
Away from Saariselka village. In wilderness.
Perfect placement of the glass roof facing north.
Heavenly view of the sky in the night. Experience of Northern lights was out of this world.
Good food. Must try Sauteed Reindeer.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
lovely cosy log cabin with sauna and log burner and well equipped kitchen. perfect for a relaxing snowy get away. location perfect as close to Saariselka but still looked as if you were in a snowy wilderness. can see Northern Lights from bed.
Clean rooms, it has all the facilities you need, quiet hotel. Breakfast buffet is included. The location is very good, it’s in the middle of nature with direct access to walking/ski paths and is dark at night.
Very good value for the price.
The Husky excursion was so fun and Martin was so great. We were lucky because it was just 2 of us and Martin the guide.
The igloo bar bartender was very very kind.
The transport people (between the east and west) were nice too.
The hotel is at a good location and it is easy to find. The rooms are comfy and excellent beds, clean bathroom - also bathrobes available. Stable wifi. Friendly staff at the reception. No extra fee for parking.
Great appartment and good location in centre of Saariselka. Checking in was easy and staff at the reception was helpfull.
Bar and lounge at the hotel are very nice and had a great meal at the restaurant.
Amazing apartment with great facilities. Awesome views, Dry and covered parking, Big bathroom with sauna, Kitchen with all basic amenities. Close to all attractions in Saariselka. Very responsible host.
Hotel is half board. Glass igloo has toilet but no shower. Unfortunately the wifi is not good enough. Staffs very helpful. Although the hotel is quite far from Rovaniemi, but the scenic was great.
The owners were very helpful and also the location was amazing, very close to the centre of Saariselka by car! We just loved the small street where the accommodation is!
1. Spacious clean cozy home
2. Well equipped kitchen
3. Good location not too far from the saariselka city
4. Great host
5. Dryer for clothes was very useful
