The manor house where we had our room was filled with history but as well tidy and practical. The grounds with old oak trees and lakeview was magnificent. The breakfast was excellent with several tasty choices. The personnel was pleasant and helpful.

I visited this town many times and I find nothing new.
I visited this town many times and I find nothing new.
The radio-communication museum is excellent.
A short distance from this museum there is a little lake.
If the weather is hot a bathing/swimming there is the right
activity. (and after that, the cakes!)
From Patria there is a short walk to the Museum and my favorite mini lake.
There is a nice park with "dancing waters".
A visit to the harbour is interesting.

Lahti is only an hour from Helsinki.
Lahti is only an hour from Helsinki. We went for a triathlon but it would be great for anyone who loves the great outdoors. The 50m outdoor pool is a highlight and there are a lots of lakeside activities - we did paddleboarding. Lots of hiking options and the locals are extremely friendly and welcoming. The scooters (Tier) are excellent for nipping around the town and they are cheap too. There are lots of paths and cycleways so it is perfectly safe. You can also use bikes but they are a lot heavier and more expensive. The town itself is not too special but it is the open areas, the space, the countryside, the lake etc that make it a great destination. We hired a car from Helsinki airport and the driving to Lahti is easy with lots of options for parking too. We went in June and it was super hot - which apparently isn't normal! I think it would be excellent in winter with lots of winter sports available too.

We particularly loved the marina area.
We particularly loved the marina area. The restaurants on the waterside around Sibelius Hall were fantastic. There were excellent supermarkets and everyone was so friendly and helpful. We were also really impressed with how clean and tidy Lahti is.

I really like the architecture here.
I really like the architecture here. I lived in Stockholm for 7 years and often want to go back there to live, but the residential and labour market conditions make it hard. Lahti is a good alternative for me when I want to live the dream for a shorter time without having to take the long trip ti Stockholm.

I visited the ski-jump tower, I played minigolf, I went to a sauna and swam in a small lake, I was in the Sibeliustalo. They were all nice.
I ate most of the times at a vegeterian restaurant Lipterin.
It's easy to get around even on foot, but there are also local buses, which you can find on Google Maps. You can buy tickets for local transport from the application of LSL.

Lahti is a tranquil village by the lake with a beautiful scenery. It's ideal for hiking, cycling or spending a few days resting and charging your batteries. It's a small town but we took great advantage of renting a car to visit the surrounding area. There's not much to be had in terms of restaurants and what little there is... well, it's not their forte. The people are very friendly and welcome tourists of every nationality.
Lovely location - close to harbour and Sibelius Hall. The nearby bus stop has regular services to Lahti train station and the High Street.
Excellent amenities - the place has more of anything I might have needed.
Superb customer service - the owners answered all my queries promptly and politely.
There was a handy information file, which gave details of places to eat and shop (etc) as well as instructions on using the sauna (etc).
Well appointed studio apartment with kitchen near the city center. Close to downtown shops and restaurants and about a 20 minute walk to the lakeside. Very friendly and responsive staff who met me when I arrived to provide the room key and show me the apartment. Nightly price made. It a good value when compared to standard hotel options. I hope to stay here again.
All the comforts of home: full kitchen, sauna... Very clean and quiet, so a very nice place to spend the night. Given the season, we didn't use the balcony, but during the summer, that might have been very nice to sit on, too. Sauna was very nice after a long day's drive. So a bit of a bargain compared to what the same money would have gotten us in a hotel.
The apartment is really pretty, close to the most important points in Lahti. The furniture are elegant and functional, the equipment is rich; everything you need and more is there. I was surprised to find a sauna in the apartment, very comfortable. The host is very kind with a huge sense of hospitality
Staff all very friendly and helpful, our baggage didn’t arrive thanks to the airline and the staff haloed with calls to the airport etc.
Very good breakfast, lots of choice and the hotel restaurant does excellent food if you don’t want to venture far.
Mari’s apt is the perfect spot to visit Lahti. It is close to the city center, the lake and the cross country ski trails. All amenities within easy walking distance. It is very clean and well-equipped. And Mari is warm and welcoming. Highly recommend.
We liked everything. The apartment is nice, everything needed is included, convenient location. The kitchen has all the necessary appliances, coffee and tea. And Lahti is a very cozy Finnish city. Thank you Marie for a wonderful stay.
Very cosy apartment, well-equipped and comfortable to stay in. The location is excellent, within walking distance of the train station and right in the centre of Lahti. The host was easy to reach and communicate with.
Really good communication with host. Easy to arrive by car. Apartments are spacious, nice balcony. City center is in a longer walk distance, or available to reach by car. Quiet area.
I'm a frequent guest there and it's really a good place to stay in Lahti, a quiet place in the city center, a free car parking, fast Wi-Fi, delicious breakfast, good value for money.
Amazing and helpful staff.
Room was of an excellent size. Location of the hotel central meaning you can walk to all the restaurants and bars to enjoy the late sunsets.
Nice hotel, good location, good value for money. Very good breakfast and I also appreciated a lot that there is a microwave that guests can use :) Very comfortable bed!
Nice, clean and comfortable apartment not far from the city centre. There is a store just a short walk from the apartment, so shopping is not an issue.
