Located next to Playa de Palma, the beach resort of El Arenal is a natural continuation of the fun to be had along the capital’s south-eastern coast. With sandy beaches and a promenade full of pubs, restaurants, nightclubs and hotels, it also includes an important marina and the water park Aqualand El Arenal. When you get tired of indulging yourself with sunbathing and endless entertainment, local transport can take you to Palma to admire the medieval Old Town, just 15 km away.

It's close to Palma and has amazing beaches.That stretch of the coat is popular with Germans but makes it a great atmosphere. There were plenty of places to eat and have coffee, the back streets were a bit rough looking but the promenade along the front was lovely. The food was not very cheap but not too expensive either if you chose carefully where you eat. All the staff at the coffee bars were friendly and not too pushy especially the 'Salsa' bar which had an hours free salsa dancing lessons on Saturday. It was only a 20 minute bus ride into Palma (on the express bus) and only 2 euros. The buses seemed to run quite late. Palma is a beautiful town but I'm glad we stayed out at El Arenal which had all the facilities but was a little quieter. I can imaging the beach in the warmer weather would be really nice.

The area around the hotel compared to nearby areas were not as clean and friendly. Of an evening you are constantly hounding with drugs sales and men walking alone are handed leaflets for a nearby brothel. El arenal is probably the worst part of spain I’ve been.
El arenal is probably the worst part of spain I’ve been. There is litter and lucky lucky men everywhere. You are bothered in bars and restaurants. It seems more of a location for youngsters partying. If you like architecture and history and quiet relaxing holidays do not come here. I’m 35 and I could not cope with it. Also seems like a same sex couple destination, a lot of Dutch people at the location.

Initially, i received the room with the view of….wall. I did the late check-in (9:00 PM) and there were a lots of free rooms. If it was only one room for single person….I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL as, for sure, they do not upgrade your room (even if it is possible). The bathroom was with someones hairs and the breakfast was not very tasty - I would say in low quality products. The lady which prepared the breakfast was very kind.

This one bears them all hands down. The room was lovely staff fantastic and really helpful. We stayed and had a drink at the bar ice cold beer glasses and very good price. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic the best we had during are stay in Majorca. Plenty of choice with great staff. Overall experience is really good, not a luxury stay, but pretty comfortable. Close to the marina and walking distance from decent restaurants and beach of Arenal.

There is also a spa you can access for a small price. The rooms are nice and tidy all with a balcony.
