Nice big room with balcony overlooking pool. Good choice in the restaurant for dinner and good for breakfast. Quite a number of business guests rather than tourists. Plenty of parking

This hotel is one of the very best run, most welcoming and excellent I have ever stayed in. If you measured against top London or global hotels the customer service, exceptional cuisine and room comfort would be second to non. It is built within an ancient Moorish Castle dating back to the 13th century. Sympathetically adapted with views 360o from the mountain peak, with soaring Iberian eagles .. it is breathtaking. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. I am just bewildered by it’s 3 star rating!!
The hospitality staff were very helpful in the hotel, all the receptionist Belen, Martha went out of their way to accommodate our requests. The housekeeping staff kept the room cleaned for us every day.
Unfortunately the food didn't cater much for vegetarians or pescatarians. The pool was nice swim in. Tennis courts were available to practise in. All in all great experience staying at the hotel.
the reception and breakfast is in the castle tower. the room turned out to be a house within the castle walls. two floors, kitchen, small dining table and bathroom on ground floor, bedroom upstairs. nothing fancy, but very cozy and authentic, and right across from the good restaurant, also run by the hotel. Castellar, of course, is spectacular, and you're staying IN the castle
The accommodation was so quaint and historically perfect. It is a proper old fashioned historical cottage within the ancient castle walls. We loved it! The coffee and service in the hotel was brilliant. Dinner in the restaurant was superb.staff couldn’t do enough.

Excellent hotel with great staff and fabulous rooms with air-conditioning and a fridge.
Very good breakfast was included.
Small swimming pool with grassed area, changing rooms and sun loungers.

A wonderful romantic hotel if you prefer peace and nature. The hotel is located in a quiet area in the countryside. Large comfortable beds, large bathroom. Excellent food in the restaurant. We didn't want to leave.
Wonderful location in the Castellar Castle. A really beautiful little town and surrounding area. We enjoyed several nice hikes in the area and the hotel restaurant in town is worth a visit.
