I really liked the structure and my hotel room was really comfortable, clean and with more than enough space! Also the hotel personnel it has always been kind and available. The bed was also good in terms of confort. The breakfast had a wide choice of foods, regarding the savory breakfast. On the other hand, the sweet breakfast was not so good. The position of the hotel is strategic and really near to the center of Tartu and the Bus station!

The location is very convenient, our room was quite big and bed very comfortable. We came on weekend and parked our car close to hotel for free. We didn't hear any noises from street.

Perfect location, street view, nice room style and overall decorations. Room was of excellent comfort and cleanliness, however there was some shortage with facilities (kitchen utensils as spoons and forks are absent, there is no coffee machine, and it is no easy to prepare a breakfast for yourself because of this)

Tartu is the second biggest city in Estonia, it has lots of places to visit, like museums, science centre, shopping centres, theatre, there are lots of walking to do, there are great local transport links in Tartu, there are plenty of hotels,B&Bs, plus apartments to stay in, most of the big shopping centres are in the city centre, there is also a free bus that takes you to one of the biggest shopping centres in Estonia, just on the outside of Tartu, that shopping centre is very big, and takes about two hours to walk round, it has a lot of different store, restaurants, etc there.
The local buses are also great to use,buy a tartu bus card, tap and go, or, buy tickets at Tartu bus Station, there are local buses, and city buses, there are lots of them, make sure to get a map, as it is a little difficult to know where to go/get off, if you do not know the area.
By the river, across the foot bridge from the city centre behind the market, you will find a nice beach area for summer, it is lovely there, and sandy, plus changing areas for everyone.

Try out the city museums, observation tower, printing history museums, science center, spa center, public transportation is easy to use and takes you all around town with an ease. Yet, one can also rent city bikes to move around 😀

Tartu is a beautiful student city to stay at.
Tartu is a beautiful student city to stay at. With the river running right through it it has everything you can wish for. It is busy enough to get whatever you want, but also to feel almost alone enjoying the lights around the river lights during the evening.
Also a lot of nature in a short drive away.
1) Stupendous location right at north edge of Old Town. Most places we wanted to see in Tartu were within walking distance.
2) Extremely well-equipped kitchen (although no space for a microwave).
3) Very comfortable bed.
4) Responsive host
5) The host was able to arrange parking for us (10 euros/day) in a small, unpaved lot immediately across the street--a huge advantage. We do not know whether space would always be available during the high season, however (we were there in late September).
Spa was excellent. Something to cater for everyone. The rooms are beautiful, clean and spacious with beautiful bathrooms. Breakfast is delicious and a large variety of sweet and savoury food is available. The hotel is in a great spot in the centre with lots of things to see and do with just a short walk away. Reception is just a short elevator ride away from the car park. Every staff member was really friendly and always said hello (estonian and/or english).
I had an excellent stay at this renovated house in Tartu. The 3-bedroom house had an open kitchen, seperate living room, clean bath and WC, and impressive design. The building was architecturally perfect, and everything was clean and neat. There were all required facilities in the kitchen and living room. Also the location was perfect and close to historical square. Highly recommended for a comfortable and stylish stay in Tartu.
Location was wonderful, the only down side was the lack of a shop nearby (there was one with products all behind the counter, which was not very encouraging for non-Estonian speakers, so we skipped it), but cafes were close enough, so it was not bad at all.
The studio type room was spacious, the kitchen was well eqipped & the bed was made for us upon arrival.
Hotel Dorpat has a good location in the centre of Tartu on the bank of the river Emajõgi. We had a nice, quiet and spacious room with a view of the river. The staff was really polite and helpful and we got our dinner to room as we were a little bit hurry to the theatre. The hotel breakfast was lovely and it was possible to sit outside.
Excellent location for me as I had a competition at Tamme stadium in Tartu. It's also walking distance from the train and bus station. Room was clean and as basically as expected. Nothing fancy, but great for a short stay and cheaper than hotels. You can cook and have a fridge and freezer which is great.
The hotel is located in a charming old town, right across from Tartu University. The hotel itself has a rich historical background, and each room has its unique character. The staff is incredibly helpful, smiling and polite, and the beds and pillows are comfortable. The breakfast is simply stunning!
The location is perfect. Vallikraavi street goes along a picturesque path to the old town. Next to Toomemäe hill, you can enjoy scenic routes and enjoy the best of what Tartu has to offer. You can go everywhere on foot. The apartment is modern and suitable for a short stay.
Great location: plenty bars and restaurants nearby, hotel is located in the very historical center.
Cute design
Comfortable bad, a lot of space in the room, mini fridge
Excellent breakfast: fresh waffles, ice cream, tasty coffee, salmon, vegetables, etc.
The administrator was kind and returned some of the money for the trouble that was made. A huge parking lot. The room was spacious enough. A lot of Estonian candies served at the table of the room.
An extremely clean, quiet and well-kept hotel right in the centre of Tartu, making it a perfect stop on your way to southern Estonia. A very nice breakfast just adds up to it. Thumbs up!
Two things cannot change - it's still a hotel, i.e you get a bed, a shower and some breakfast in return for your money; and it's still located in the very center of Tartu.
