Really wonderful place. Kibayo offers a little zen just about a comfortable distance away from all the hustle and bustle from the town. Offers a community-type of vibe with a small pool, common kitchen and a lagoon right next to it. Hosts are lovely and welcoming here Really great experience.

Steps from the beach and several restaurants, but far from the rest of town. It wasn't a problem for us, but it might be for some although there are plenty of guaguas that go by. As the name implies, lots of kite surfers from different countries.

The rooms themselves were very cool. The whole place seemed like it was beautiful and cool 5 years ago, and no one cares anymore. Perhaps it was because the owner was out of town, it felt like those left in charge didn't care for the place.

Cabarete has a laid-back feel that is perfect for an easygoing vacation. The waves are fun the play in and the water/wind sports are fun and colorful to watch. Getting around is easy by walking. High tide will make some of the beach walking a challenge if you are too far down the beach, but still doable.

Cabarete has a very different atmosphere than other parts of Dominican Republic. It is a surfer town with a very relaxed energy. You find good restaurant options (fresh fresh cafe, gorditos fresh mex, la casita de papi, mojito bar, belgium bakery, vagamundo coffee, friend’s, ojo club), some shops, fun relaxed night life and there is a nice enough beach with bars, restaurants and kite and windsurf rentals/schools. It is quite a small town so staying here for a longer time could become boring if you don’t do day trips to other areas near by. I travel a lot to the DR and always enjoy staying 3-5 days in the area because of the nice restaurant and relaxed surfer vibes and the change to another part of the country to continue my vacation.

Lots of shops with a variety of goods along main street (busy so careful crossing). Bars & restaurents were excellent! Good entertainment, lots of expats in town and along the beach. Dominicans are friendly and helpful.
As elsewhere, stay with the crowds if out at night. Stay on the beaten track. I walked all over during the day, A small nieghbourhood bar was a great stop on a hot afternoon.

Compliments to the helpful and pleasant staff.
Compliments to the helpful and pleasant staff. Extra cudos to Senior Santos, Jennifer, the security team and maintenance crew that made me feel very welcome. It suited me for a quiet space to decompress and enjoy some reflection time. I would highly recommend this property for couples and solo travelers. The local residents were also kind and pleasant to mingle with.
Thank you all again, I plan to return next year.
Cheers, Chris from Canada.

Great for foreigners, it has a budget for everyone in terms of restaurants, accommodation, and things to do. It is about a 4-hour drive from Santo Domingo. The beaches are nice and the water is warm. I would highly recommend staying here.

Some problem in the begin because they cant find my reservation, no matter show the reservation in my phone, also in my email and they still discussing, but after they fixed, everything going very well. Was very grateful because when they did the mistake, they give to us a spectacular suite i front the beach and the swiming pool. Was super
location is minutes away from everything, make sure elena tells you about the short cut which allows you to walk to the beach, downtown cabarete, and belgium bakery and coffee shop for breakfast or pasties in minutes. I have stayed in this area other years and this was the quietest of them all . Other places have the loud motorcycles going by frequently but elenas is at the end of a dead end street where everybody knows each other, very safe and quiet with the quick access to everything.
I love the Velero. It’s proximity to Janet’s supermarket and the beach and within walking distance of most restaurants. It’s a comfortable atmosphere and very relaxing. Plus, it was on the ground level, which made it easier access to the pool area. I don’t go to cabarete to watch TV but I happened to be there when the Rose Bowl was on and I had access to everything that I needed in American tv. That was great!
The most relaxing chill atmosphere in the most perfect location right next to the best kitesurfing school on the water can not be matched. Located on their own private beach with the most beautiful sunrises is priceless. The staff and security is so personal, private and helpful that you can’t help being comfortable and relaxed no matter what time of day or night that you want to see or hear the ocean sounds.
Breakfast was filling and food was made to order. Staff very friendly. Loved the Infinity pool overlooking ocean. Great for kids. Beach was just down steps from the pool. Small area semi wind protected that allowed kids to play. Also could walk a short rocky stretch to a larger beach with bars and restaurants. Also convenient was an atm and large grocery store within 3 min walking from
Hotel.
very lovely staff especially Anselma, the lady from reception who was very helpful and cared a lot for me to be comfortable. Thanks a lot.
the location is fantastic and the villa and its facilities are amazing, I totally recommend this place if u like to stay in Cabarete. lots of restaurants/cafes/banks/pharmacy/other hotels around
Nice fruits for breakfast, very close from beautiful beaches and nice walk to central cabarete. The room is fantastic with space and nice deco, outside it's lush many fruit and coconut tress, nice pool shower, cool kitchen, the staff is super friendly and helpful for anything you need
The hotel is centrally located nearby nice restaurants at the beach. Guests can use free sun beds (no umbrellas though) at the beach.
There are two pools, one with a bar attached to it. Staff was friendly.
There is soap in the shower and they supply beach towels.
Beautiful boutique hotel that was super well maintained. The inside looked as beautiful and clean as the outside grounds. Small, quant, and memorable for all the right reasons! Great location to work if you need reliable internet.
This place has a real carribbean vibe, the children loved the pool! We loved the garden! Its close to Cabarete beach and kite beach, but it’s outside of Cabarete in a calm and quiet area! Here you can hear the nature!
Everything was great. One of the best hotels that I have stayed in the DR. Solius is great too - nothing is too much trouble for him. A real gentleman and a hard worker too.
such a warm welcome. we didn’t have that much luck in the Dominican Republic with accommodations and finally a hotel that was well maintained and clean for a great price
Breakfast was very good, the beach was near the hotel, you can go walking, and the room was clean and comfortable. We liked it very much. fully recommended the hotel.
