Overall it was good, i was expecting cleaning to be at higher standards and the bed sheet to not come off everytime i turn around in bed.

We loved, loved, loved the location. It was paradise. We loved the calm bay and the set up of the villas. It was very peaceful and we enjoyed the feeling of having the place to ourselves. We loved the staff. They were all very professional, polite, friendly and attentive. We enjoyed the kayaks and the beach dinner. It was truly different and amazing all the effort they went to make it a one-of-a-kind stay.

The place is amazing in pristine rainforest and surrounded by nothing but nature. There is many trails maintained by the owner to make sure you can explore the rainforest.
The drive to the place needs a 4wd but is also a great opportunity to spot wildlife (toucans, macaws, monkeys, etc...)

We came to PuertoJimenez to go Birdwatching, which we did with Royer, an excellent Birder. Also, I would recommend the Night Walk, with Emmanuelle in the Osa Interactive Garden.
The Dinners & Breakfasts were excellent at the Iguana Lodge Beach Resort. The staff were very friendly, also the owner Lauren!
Playing in the surf, with their Boogie Boards was challenging but fun!

This place is really wonderful for a full disconnection and to recharge the batteries. We had the chance to see many animals in the garden and the room was very comfortable and spacious. The personal attention from the owner to our opinions and needs was more than expected. We come again there.

We loved the ceviche at several places-Delphines is the favorite. fun vibe there on the water
Get your produce at the fresh market at the entrance to town-great selection.

The nature and exploration available from PJ as a takeoff point was amazing. Books tours early, or you may not secure a space, take himing boots and shorts and waterproof raingear just in case, and be prepared to rough it a little.

Anne, at reception, was friendly and welcoming and always addressed me by name, as if she'd known me forever! That impressed me!
I loved the tropical decor, the ambiance and laid back vibe here. Loved meeting other guests in the common areas, from all over the world. Loved having the outdoor kitchen, and BBQ to cook in.

We did a daytrip to Corcovado Nationalpark.
We did a daytrip to Corcovado Nationalpark. The Tour was organized by Osa Wild (a local organisation).
The Guide was very good and we saw lots of exotic animals during the Day. Corcovado and Osa Peninsula are very wild and untamed in relation to some more touristic places in Costa Rica. Puerto Jiménez isn‘t that special, but it‘s a good place to start Tours to Corcovado.

A quiet, unspoilt small harbour town.
A quiet, unspoilt small harbour town. Los Delphines was a great place to eat, chill and watch the wildlife. Watch out for caimans! Jaguar is a lovely little gift shop selling delicious drinks and ice creams. Night kayaking to see the bioluminescence was fantastic.
We had a wonderful stay at Anluka House. Giselle was very warm, kind, and welcoming. The apartment was spacious and comfortable. It had a refrigerator, washing machine, and a burner to cook (with all utensils and plates). It was very close to places we needed to go in Puerto Jimenez (bus depot, supermarket, tour offices, etc). There was a very friendly hummingbird outside on the bushes right by the room. We hope to stay with Giselle again soon! Thank you for a wonderful stay!
the hotel doesn't exist. no sign, no lights outside, dark building, no people, no reception. I was met by a drunk guy he has opened the building for me and offered to wait for the owner inside. I was scared the situation was like a crime scene. I run away.
Booking.com sent me automated message that the charge was made and they won't return the money. Will never use this sammers site again. Will dispute the charge.
don't book this hotel it doesn't exist.
I stayed 3 nights in this fantastic location. The place is simply beautiful and a great place to relax. I was really well looked after by Lorena, Gustavo and Dalila who are all very charming and kind. The food was delicious and lots of it. I hope to go back one day.
It is remote and the road is challenging but that is all part of the adventure. It was the cheapest and best place I stayed during my stay in Costa Rica.
Very clean
Hosts helpful
Strong wifi
Shared kitchen with coffee
Location in neighborhood of restaurants and bus station.
Hint for trip to La Palma and Drake bay:
Taxi / colectivo from Puerto jimenez , at the corner of the shop "El regalon" to La Palma.
Then bus from La Palma to Drake Bay leaves la Palma at 11:30.
The bus from Puerto jimenez to La Palma is not suitable, as it leaves only at 11am (not 9:30).
Our stay at Cabinas Tropicales was very pleasant, its a basic accommodation but comfortable. Jeancarlos made us feel very welcome, he was incredibly helpful and friendly. The garden is lovely to sit in while relaxing, all types of birds fly in regularly. It was a well placed location, right near to the beach of puerto jimenez and also a short walk into the centre of the town.
This hotel was the perfect budget stay in a small town of Puerto Jimenez that is a gateway to Corcovado. It's near the main street where you have a bakery and a coffee shop and it's in the walking distance to the pier.
The facilities and the rooms are new and you can tell that all the ladies that run the place take great pride in their hotel.
The personnel is extremely friendly. They kept an eye on our luggage & our car while we were in Corcovado. Moreover, they gave us tips around the city: ATM, supermarket, good restaurant. The hotel is located directly on the waterfront and just a walking distance from the main dock. On our way back, we saw aras sitting on the tree :)
The rooms were basic but clean. The garden was beautiful and offered a lovely place to see some wonderful birds, raccoons and other wildlife.
The property has a real family feel and Andrew is great for insider knowledge and arranging tours to see all the wonderful things Puerto Jimenez and the surrounding area has to offer.
The owner , Jacki 's , , Costa Rican , courtesy and politeness is much appreciated. Also very helpful and informative.
The garden and atmosphere was very relaxing and enjoyable.
The responsible garbage disposable system in main kitchen is something all establishments should be doing.
The hotel is very remote, in the middle of the forest. It is quiet and idyllic. Perfect for watching animals of all kinds.
The owners are very very friendly!
The food is freshly cooked and tastes fantastic!
Recommended for anyone looking for something out of the ordinary!
This is a very beautiful place to stay.
It’s next to the airport at Puerto Jimenez. There is a shuttle to the hotel and your room. Which is well appointed. The restaurant and pool area are lovely and it’s in easy reach of the pier if you want to take a trip.
Very nice and comfy house, decorated with style and even with a semi-automatic washing machine and dryer, which was a blessing after 3 days in Corcovado. Close to the centre of Puerto Jimenez. Drinking coffee in the balcony was great.
Perfect spot in Puerto Jimenez! Super friendly staff and awesome amenities: AC, mini fridge and kitchen supplies in room, coffee pot AND coffee in room, outdoor kitchen and BBQ on bath deck, pool. Lots of books to loan in the lobby.
Good location, clean rooms, great price. Best of all they were so helpful when I needed an early check in, taxi, bike rental, and left my guitar on the bus they helped me get it back from the driver. Best place in Puerto Jimenez
Close to the beach has a restaurant inside the hotel. Many employees who do their best to make the resort still taken care of. The staff accommodated my request to change the room because there is no network and no WiFi.
We are traveling to Costa Rica quite often and this resort in the jungle is very unique, animals come to you everywhere, food is perfect, nobody disturbs you there.
