Villa de Leyva is a wonderful place to visit. Explore this picturesque mountain town. Learn about its rich colonial past. Hang out in and around the huge main square, the largest in Colombia. Excellent food! Grab a delicious empanada or sit down for a yummy pastry and coffee or hot chocolate. There are two great spots across from the main bus station. Best deals in town!

Very good and colonial place that remains without many changes in the architecture, which in itself is something of the magic of the town. Gastronomy has been greatly developed and you can find options for all tastes and budgets, there are even a couple of very good vineyards. Two days will be enough.

Villa de Leyva is well known to the people in Colombia, but many foreigners don't know about it. It is a small colonial town. All of their streets are covered with stone. The construction, even new homes are built according to a well defined colonial style.

Very good place to stay for a weekend.
Very good place to stay for a weekend. In two or three days you can get to know the main touristic attractions in this city. The main museums are near to the main square and one day is enough to get to know all of them. Almost everything can be done by walking, but I would recommend hiring a private taxi if you want to know the Casa de Terracota or the Museu Paleontológico, they are a bit far. I would recommend the restaurants at Centro Comercial El Atico, the place is very beautiful. Another (more expensive) option is the Centro Comercial La Guaca, which is also beautiful and perfect for a good beer and to listen live music. Good food at a good price can be found at El Tomatino, very close to the Chocolate Museum.

Is a great colonial, gastronomical, fun, cozy, magical town with warm people, lot of tourists and plans to make (visit the desert, the blue lagoons, museums, wine tours, horse riding, or simply walk around the colonial architecture and appreciate the fossils and white matching houses🏠)
The location was excellent (although Villa de Leyva is reasonably small so no location is bad). Room was very spacious and the little balcony was great to sit on and watch the world go by when it rained. Although I arrived earlier than check in one of the staff members came from home.(I presume) to open the front door and.let.me.check in early as it was raining. I really appreciated this.
Absolutely beautiful, facilities were amazing, it is a great house built with lots of details that make you feel at home, they also had a crib for my baby and no issue with pets in there. Already thinking in booking again soon! I’ve been in Villa de Leyva several times (around 3-4x per year) and this hotel has become my favorite.
Small hotel in beautiful grounds a short walk to the Plaza Mayor, Saturday Market and the start of the Mirador El Santo trail (highly recommended). The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Starting the day with breakfast in the garden was perfect. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend staying here.
Wonderful hotel. We were 1 German couple and 1 Colombian couple. The attention was excellent, they were very carefully in each detail. If you are looking for an amazing time, experience and comfortable place to stay in Villa de Leyva, this is the place. Great location, great staff, great breakfast and beautiful hotel.
The hostel is very cozy, friendly, and warm, and is situated very close to the magnific Plaza central de Villa de Leyva. Viviana is an amazing host, always eager to respond to any question one might have. Cleopatra the cat, who roams freely in the garden of the hostel, is a plus! Totally recommend.
I seldom give excellent scores, but Jimena and Alvaro more than deserve it. Not only is their hotel a jewel, but they are also a one-stop shop for knowledge on and the best recommendations about anything and everything having to do with Villa de Leyva and its sorrounding towns.
The hostel is connected with Alegria hostel, so you can use the kitchen of Alegria and also other facilities. Personal is very friendly and a great help to plan activities near and in Villa de Leyva. I really enjoyed my time there, clear recommandation!
What a gem of a hotel! The staff is lovely and the room was very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was very tasty as well. We have stayed in other hotels in Villa de Leyva, but this was by far our favorite. We will be back!
We ended up renting a 3 bedroom home. Each bedroom had its own bathroom and each room had its own key to the room and to the house. We loved it. Great location; close to a lot of shops and about a block away from Plaza Mayor.
Excellent location. Balconies with views of Villa de Leyva and mountains. Family owned small hotel. Nice, spotless rooms with great bathrooms and comfortable beds. Hotel owners are very kind and helpful.
The place is beautiful and quiet, yet close to the center plaza. Food very good. Tastefully decorated and spacious and very comfortable rooms. We will definitely come back and let friends know.
Casa del Arbol is a great boutique hotel in the center of old town Villa de Leyva, with only 6-7 rooms and wonderful staff very attentive to your needs. highly recommended for a laid back stay.
The location is great if you’re by car. Just outside of Villa de Leyva to relax with a great view from the mountain hill.
There is a little fireplace in the room and the staff is very helpful.
