The Hotel Coop Tagungszentrum & Hotelpark im Grünen in Muttenz is 4 km from Basel's centre and 20 minutes by a direct public transport connection from the Messe Basel fairgrounds.

The staff! So friendly and welcoming! Truly exceptional.
The hotel itself was very nice and comfortable, judging from outside. It looks more like a condominium or training center (which partly is). The beds were very comfortable, I slept like a baby. And the surrounding area was very quiet. My highlight was the check out, but since I don’t want to spoil, you need to stay over. All over great experience.
Hotel Baslertor is a modern, architecturally unique three star hotel, which is located in the middle of Muttenz, 3 km from Basel city.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the room was spacious. I especially loved the shower. The proximity to public transport was very helpful, especially since it was my first time in Basel. Hope to be back in the future.
Enjoying a quiet location in the heart of Basel, the Radisson Blu Basel Hotel is just a 5-minute walk from the central train station and features a great indoor pool.

It's dated but comfortable
I am comparing with our next stay in Switzerland which we have paid double the amount and the facilities were very poor.
Staff was great.very pleasant girls
Only issue was there was no kettle to get hot water or make a cup of tea.
Otherwise for the money ,highly recommend
Thank you
We loved the spacious room, which was spotless. We travelled with dogs and it was good to have a large garden and green spaces on property. The hotel is very close to pubic transport (a tram line) connecting it to St. Jakob park (a shopping centre). We arrived after reception closing time and could collect the key via a safe box, which worked perfectly. Another big plus is the hotel free parking plus plenty of free parking spaces on the street
Very friendly staff. Facilities are located in a nice and quiet neighborhood. The tram station is about 3min walk away and can take you directly to the center. The tram ticket is included in the price. The breakfast is ok, but the choices might get tedious if staying for a week or so. There is a gym in the basement of the hotel, with enough equipment to keep you going. There is also free of charge spring water provided.

As we were driving through from the UK to Italy, we just needed an overnight stop off with on site parking. This hotel was in a quiet residential location, with parking. Our room was large and clean, basic in terms of furnishing but for one night it was exactly what we required. Breakfast was very good and set us up for the day ahead, the staff at breakfast were very friendly and helpful.
The Baslertor is conveniently located in Muttenz, just outside Basel and is clean, comfortable and especially quiet. The bus stop to downtown Basel - 20 minutes - is just outside the door so, you can stay in a nice hotel with a great value and get to anywhere in the area. There is a Coop grocery store located next to the Baslertor.
The Hotel has a interesting concept. They use Coop's supermarket restaurant and the place is very good. The hotel is very well located and it's convenient that the supermarket is on the same building. The room that I used was very good using a wheelchair inside and has a nice terrace. The parking spaces are very good also.
Spacious and clean apartment (with a little kitchenette) with all amenities one needs. Perfect for a family with 2 small children. Hotel is on a busy street, but that is expected if you want to be so close to Basel and the neighboring towns. We did not have breakfast so can't rate that. Staff was very friendly.
This hotel is a very good choice if you look for a good middle class hotel with quiet rooms, a good service and a handy location. A garage is at disposal, the direct tram line to the city of Basel is very near by. The rooms have a good size and are funtional. I recommend this hotel.
Great location with Supercoop & Coop restaurant right next door, friendly & helpful staff at hotel reception, functional & clean room, onsite parking, etc.
We liked the location. Close to highway. 12-15 min by tram to the city center. Tram 5 min distance from the hotel.
We liked the comfy beds, very clean.
