Good value for money.
However there was no Soap and we had to use the dish washing detergent to wash hands.
The hot water supply was very weak in the morning when everyone was showering.

A beautiful place to stay at the beginning of Spring.
A beautiful place to stay at the beginning of Spring. Lots of historical buildings to see, lovely gardens and the river is flowing well. The York museum is well worth a visit. The Salvos have a great jumble sale, items are very cheap and good quality - worth the visit just for this! And you get free entertainment at the same time!

There are little shops and interesting places to visit in the town centre and its surrounds. I enjoyed my 2 days there. That was enough time for me. I suggest planning your day and looking at the opening hours of the places you want to visit as almost everything closes by 5pm. I suggest visiting the Old Flour Mill which has a cafe and an interesting collection of art and vintage items for sale. The old gaol is also worth a visit.

An amazing Town steeped in history, excellent heritage buildings, surrounded by wonderful privately owned properties, being winter the countryside could be easily have been mistaken for any where in the English countryside. Dining out is not a problem with all tastes catered for in hotels and restaurants, all within easy walking.

Beautiful cottage with friendly hosts and mostly everything you need for a peaceful stay in beautiful York. Spacious and well-furnished and centrally located to all of York's points of interest. Watching the stars at night around the fire pit was just magical and so good to have so many things for the kids to do - the animals were great and kept the kids interested! Tennis court was lots of fun and watching Katie, the Kangaroo made it a very special stay for our boys.
The accommodation had good space both within the unit and outside where Jeanette and Paul had provided seating and table tennis under cover and protected by fly screens. Our hosts were overwhelmingly generous with food, toiletries and snacks. The bed was comfortable and there was good WiFi. We felt happy to come and go as we pleased.
The B&B is located on the edge of York so it is peaceful but quite a distance to walk into town and to restaurants.
Extremely well priced for a clean, comfortable bed & bedding, good shower with lots of hot water, towels & toiletries.
York is very quiet little town, stores mostly close at 4pm. We had takeout from the Chinese restaurant on Avon-it was very good.
Following am after checkout we went to the Nuygen Bakery for coffee & a sweet, also very tasty. the IGA grocery store right across the street.
Had a small problem when we arrived but was fixed in no time . Saul Bliss even help us with a problem that had nothing to do with the accommodation. Wonderful service well above what was in required. bed comfy best sleep in years . thanks for making our short stay so carefree . Will be Back and would recommend this hotel if you are going to York
A very friendly place to stay. Stacy was very helpful and stayed around to accommodate my later-than-expected arrival time.
The room was very clean, warm and inviting on a cold winter's night. Loved the bathroom too.
All up a great boutique accommodation option right in York. Highly recommend.
The host was really accommodating and provided additional comforts like fresh juice, scones and other assortments. The place was bigger than expected and very private. Coming and going was easy and it was just a 5 -10 minute stroll onto the main street of York.
We enjoyed dinner in the restaurant it was great. Huge meals and prices were very reasonable, considering they were just getting over Covid restrictions. Good choices on the wine list. The TV had a history of York showing which was very interesting.
extremely good value for the money we paid, very comfortable beds, nice shower, well equipped kitchen, undercover outdoor seating area, tennis courts, very welcoming hosts, great location just 10 minutes walk to the main street of York
Great location, set amongst all the other units at the Settlers Hotel.
Very clean, well appointed.
The Netflix was not working, but that's ok.
Otherwise great value compared to the other units exactly like this.
Highly recommended.
Walking distance from everything in York. Delightful garden setting of flowering fruit trees. Loads of parking space. Milk and cold water in fridge. Warm welcoming staff. Tasteful modern decor. Freshly renovated bathroom.
