The Entrance is a beautiful place with lovely views and local people. There are great shops to walk along and browse and plenty of options for something to eat and drink. There's a great children's playground and a water park feature also. There is also timed sessions for Pelican feedings. Definitely recommend The Entrance, it is a great family friendly place to stay.

This beachside town has suffered similarly to many others in the off tourist season with many premises being closed down, dirty streets and hoodlum car operators driving around. Whilst we were able to enjoy some good service from eateries attended the general feel of the town is not overly pleasant, possibly added to by not so great weather during our visit.

The Entrance looks tired.
The Entrance looks tired. It has so much potential but many of the motels are old or unloved. There was no opportunity to paddle board and all the boats for hire looked like they needed some upgrades. There seems to be very little development happening.
We loved eating in all the local restaurants and I’m glad that the permanent shade shelters have been installed outside most restaurants.

The Entrance is a like finding gold in a gold mine.
The Entrance is a like finding gold in a gold mine. Its such a beautiful place, whether you are caravanning, camping or holidaying in a resort or apartment it suits everyone's needs. offers so much and often above your expectations. Its a place you find and want to come back every year to build memories. GREAT PLACE TO HOLIDAY AT, AND POSSIBLY A GREAT PLAVE TO EVEN LIVE IN, IF HAD THE OPPORTUNITY.

The Entrance waterfront and restaurants are great but further afield, things aren't the way they used to be. Many shops have closed and those that hadn't, open late. There is not one good bakery for example.

Nice place with great scenery and beaches almost everywhere you go. Quite laid back. Unfortunately we did see the memorial part come to life as activities were cancelled for the weekend we were there. Overall it is a great place to go to with family for a short holiday.
We always stay at the Buccaneer Motel on all occasions while visiting family on Central Coast. The staff are wonderful, the staff know us, Always welcome. Rooms are clean and fresh, staff go out of their way to help you. Restaurants, walks along the lake at just a stones' throw away. And, it's on The Entrance Road, so turn left, and your on your way to Gosford, Wyong, Forrester's Beach, turn right, and you can go to The Entrance, Long Jetty and Shelly Beach.
This is the home away from home motel. My room was really lovely, sleeping on a cloud, everything you would need is there. This place has the little things that make it home. A bookshelf with a couple of books, enough tea coffee etc for many. Complimentary milk was lovely, not the long life package stuff. Air freshener in the toilet, a big bathmat, just like home. I would recommend staying here, and if i need to stay at the entrance again, I will stay here
Pelican penthouse is directly positioned on the beautiful beachfront and close to the centre of The Entrance. The apartment is spacious and well equipped with everything you need. There is also a huge terrace upstairs overlooking the bridge and ocean.
The owner Kim is a pleasure to deal with and promptly handles any issues that arise.
I was pleasantly surprised by the room, given the price. Very clean, and quite fresh, with everything you need. Pet friendly (huge plus for us) and a short bike ride or drive to both Toowoon Bay beach (our favourite on the coast) as well as The Entrance restaurants. Short walk to good coffee and interesting shops.
The location is amazing, unobstructed view of a full moon rising, the light house light sweeping across the bay and the whisper of the surf directly across the road was very atmospheric
The close vicinity to food and leisure activities at The Entrance was invaluable
The bed was comfortable although the pillows (new) were too big. Just a short walk into The Entrance.
Highly recommend hiring a boat from the Boat Shed - great value and fun. There are nice bush trails near Magenta in the Wyrrabalong National Park.
The Lakes Hotel was the only place available in The Entrance for less than 100 dollars, which is why we chose it. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, the staff friendly, the bathroom clean with good showers.
Fantastic location right in front of the ocean baths and 15 minute walk to the Entrance shops. Room was clean and spacious, beautiful balcony view onto the beach and spa bath was a perfect way to enjoy the view
It's always a great location - with everything The Entrance has to offer in easy walking distance. The quality is always reliable and the rooms were well-sized and the kitchenette was well furnished.
Breakfast was made to our request from suggested menu. Fruit was a little old but acceptable. Apple juice was strange, it seemed fizzy - perhaps kept too long. sausages were tasty.
Loved the cleanliness of the room. And so accommodating for our dog!! Very friendly staff who went out of the way to check us in after hours and make us so welcome
The location was excellent. Across the road from the mouth and just around the corner from pubs and restaurants. That is the only thing good about this hotel.
This is by far the best place we have stayed at The Entrance. It was clean and spacious. Was modern and the spa was a bonus. Would definitely stay again.
