Tathra is terrible (I'm only saying that because I don't want too many people to visit this awesome, natural, peaceful and friendly place)
Have dinner at the Tathra Pub as it's a family friendly, modern and scenic venue. The coffee at Wild Orchid Cafe brings me back everyday
friendly staff, amazing view! breath taking views! all the facilities one could want and need. A sleepy little haven unpopulated and not over commercialised. Tathra offered everything you need without the Bussel.

Not lots of places to eat but what there is are nice. You can easily walk around the town at the beach but there is a hill if you want to head to the pub on the headland. Nice place to relax and unwind!

Tathra is a lovely small township catering mainly for the tourist trade.
Plenty to see and do if your style is outdoor activity. Great surfing beaches and walks. Some Historical sights worth a trip to see.

I was very surprised to see that very few shops were open at the weekend, especially as, Tathra appeared to have a lot of visitors from out of town. I thought the park was an excellent area for the children and was very appealing.

The people of Tathra seemed much more friendly than at other stops along the coast. It has kept its simple country town appeal yet still has the top quality coffee shops and pubs to spoil yourself in. The coastline is unmatched for beauty
We loved this accomodation, our biggest regret was not being able to stay longer!
The cabins are basic but very comfortable and in a lovely location in the middle of beautiful bushland. My children loved the wildlife and nature surrounding us.
Plenty of great activities for families and only a short drive to beautiful beaches. The lovely staff suggested the best beaches for children as well as some great fishing spots, we went to them all and had a great time.
There were heaps of activities to keep the kids busy (eg flying fox, canoeing, archery, table tennis, pool table, mini golf, tennis, basketball). We also loved having a real fireplace, picking firewood and setting it up every night. It was just so relaxing watching the flames whilst having a cuppa. This place is also close to Tathra Beach
The room was very small and had one bed when I had asked for two beds. There was no air conditioning and no mircrowave when it had been included in the run down of facilities with booking.com. Very basic room in the motel. The room that I had been promised was in the hotel, had two beds and was bigger.
Very nicely appointed cottage accomodation in a beautiful bushland setting. Convenient to Tathra which is only a few minutes away where the hotel serves excellent food. We used the cottage as a base for doing the 30km Tathra to Merimbula Wharf to Wharf Walk over 2 days.Excellent value.
I stayed here for a work trip and thoroughly enjoyed it. The location was stunning, right across from the beach and cafe with great coffee. There was a safe garage to park my car and I felt very at home. Perfect for the work event which took place in Bega, not far from Tathra.
We loved our stay at Tathra Beach House - being so close to the beach was amazing, and our kids loved being able to jump in the pool and swim spa. There were a number of cafes within walking distance, and we even discovered one with Ona Coffee (our favourite!) nearby.
The site was well-managed and everyone very friendly. The location was excellent, with easy access to Tathra and Bega, and very peaceful. The take away breakfast from CJs was very good and good value for money.
The Motel is in a fabulous position. The Hotel next door had good food at reasonable prices with stunning views. The motel rooms are a bit run down and would be lovely with a bit of upgrading
A quiet and friendly place to relax. Coffee at the beach in the morning; fish and chips in the afternoon. A visit to the Wharf Museum is a must to learn about this gem of a town.
Heated pool
Communal fire pit
Very clean communal facilities
Location - proximity to the beach
Live music (singer/guitarist was excellent)
Kids movie night
