Tates Hotel Windsor, hotel in Richmond

Situated in Windsor, 32 km from Western Sydney Stadium, Tates Hotel Windsor features accommodation with a restaurant, free private parking and a bar.

From check in to check out, staff were friendly, kind and accommodating. The music, bands and karaoke downstairs at the pub were incredible. I was lucky enough to be staying during Anzac day celebrations, the locals and the atmosphere were fantastic. The food was tasty and priced for my student budget. Room was fine and had a sink. Bed was comfy. Night time was quiet for sleeping. Shared bathroom is fine. Thank you for having me Tate's xx

A pleasant, attractive town on the edge of the Sydney rail network and easy reach by road to the lower Blue Mountains. We found a warm welcome at the local Uniting Church (St Andrew's) on the Sunday morning.

Richmond is a great spot on Sydney's outskirts right at the foothills of the Blue Mountains. I arrived late on the night before I intended to travel west to avoid travelling through Sydney traffic in the morning, and had a lovely refreshed start to the day

The beds are very comfortable and clean. Parking is not good and had to park on the street upon arrival due to no parking spots available. The rooms are a bit noisy until early hours of the morning. No breakfast available.

    The place was average.

The place was average. Main advantage was closeness to the city centre. Main disadvantage was the noise. You can hear people talking and when showering and flushing toilets. The main door quite oddly doesn't close properly, the only thing keeping it close was the chain lock by the door. A bit of a concern.

Richmond is a bustling outer Sydney suburb which has almost everything you need and is close enough to Windsor and Penrith for it not to be a bother to fill the void of things it doesn't have. Richmond retains the country town feeling and is well placed at the foot of the scenic Blue Mountains. Richmond has good public transport with buses and the train line with trains that go into the Sydney CBD and North Shore through Blacktown and Parramatta.

Would love to return and explore the wonderful old historic buildings as my trip was too short this time. My taxi driver helpfully recommended springtime when the trees are blooming as the best time to visit for nature lovers.
