We loved the Botanic Gardens and the Zoo, bonus it was free and clean. Riverside cultural district was a bit dissapointing, nice enough but nothing to do apart from walk through it, we did some of it but better off walking up the top along Quay Street to take in the lovely old buildings. Mt Archer skywalk was awesome, such a lovely view back over Rockhampton from up there. We also did the Capricorn Caves, it's a must see when in the area that's for sure! Yeppoon and the Keppel Coast was beautiful but we needed more time spent over there..next visit hey!

Rockhampton is a great place to visit, it has so much to offer no matter what You are looking for. Plenty of restaurants that cater to pretty much any cuisine You like. It has some of the best pubs I have ever been to with atmosphere, food and entertainment. So do Yourself a favor and visit and see what Rockhampton has to offer.

We have been to Rockhampton many times.

We have been to Rockhampton many times. There is an awesome Botanical Gardens/Zoo in Rockhampton. The riverfront historical buildings are interesting and the waterfront Criterion is a great family pub with excellent food. The Mt. Archer Lookout and walking trails are a must visit. The shopping and markets in Rockhampton, Yeppoon and Emu Park are terrific. Emu Park, Yeppoon, and The Caves are also must visit. When you arrive, visit the Rockhampton Tourist Information Centre as there are a lot of other things to see and do in Rockhampton itself.

Our trip was a two and half day to Cairns which then didn't leave us any touring time. When it came to food my only advice, stay away from servo's not an option we will recommend. When searching good food/diners in Rockhampton remember to do your research because we ended buying local take-away and eating back in our motel room, VERY SAD & NOT SATISFYING.

Busy town. Lots of accommodation. Selection of eateries.

Busy town. Lots of accommodation. Selection of eateries. Plenty of appropriate shopping options for all. Clean. Lots of touristy things to do and look at. Peak hour traffic is a bit slow. Rocky can be a bit disjointed being on both sides of the river. Generally, an easy place to get what you need when you want it.

We enjoy staying with our friends at Coffee House Apartments, pet friendly without any hidden pet fee's. Always a nice space, big TV and comfy couch. Fully self contained which is great for our needs traveling with our pets. Staff are always friendly and accommodating. We've stayed here many times on our holidays going through Rockhampton. And we'll probably be back again soon on our next holiday. Very happy the restaurant is open again since the COVID chaos. Thank you.

The property offered a nice Pet friendly room - prob a bit of overkill for 1 person as it was a family room with 3 beds. the manager had taken ill the day I arrived and the poor staff were struggling to understand the procedures - prob best to train someone in the event of an issue… the room was far more quieter than Zed hotel down the road and probably cleaner. sheets towels were all clean fridge tv all worked well - box aircon but ok

Friendly, honest & efficient reception staff. We left early to travel, but unfortunately i left my bag in the room so the lovely receptionist retrieved it from the room when I called & immediately put it safely in reception for my return. The hotel has spacious rooms & is a great location just at the northern entrance to Rockhampton.

Very nice, well located hotel. After the intense heat of Rockhampton it was lovely to have some time to cool off in the spacious, nicely furnished, spotlessly clean room. Best of all, it was all tiled, no carpet, so was even cool without the aircon. Enjoyed the use of the pool also. staff very pleasant and helpful.

We have stayed at the Capricorn before earlier last year and the management have spent some money and time with improvement's which has helped , the location suits us as we live in Cairns and it's an easy leave as the location is on the North side of Rockhampton which is also offering more as a stop-over

It’s a standard motel with 5 star touches for its purpose.. a pet friendly hotel that provides a great night sleep on a long travel. Littles things like car windscreen squeegees, ice on freezer, pillow and blanket are things you expect from luxury chains but are a pleasant surprise

Small, cheap hotel room attached to a pub, rooms were clean and had every thing you need. Very good value for money and the staff are friendly; there's an awning to park your car under right outside your room to keep the sun off which is great.

A reasonably priced motel, given the location and the need to break the long journey between North Queensland and Brisbane. Basic, but comfortable, it suits our needs for a no-frills room for an overnight stay.
