The house was very cozy and had private access to and from the property with its own private bathroom and study and kitchenette, with an external entry which was perfect! Well equipped with food supplies and linen, towels and accessories! Overall, I was greeted warmly by the hosts, who were both extremely helpful and friendly, sharing their local knowledge and experience of where to eat and shop. A fabulous location with a short walk to beach, shops and the local hotel. The bedroom even was delightful with a rear cottage garden surrounded with interesting electic art works.

There are numerous wineries and most have good wines but not all opens early. Most open at 11.00am hence would delay in visiting other wineries for tasting.
Sea food is very fresh and manage to get fresh oyster for my morning breakfast (had 2 dozens of it).
Unfortunately most store dont open for business mondays to wednesday during winter hence have limited time visiting.

Port Arlington is an undiscovered gem.
Port Arlington is an undiscovered gem. Nice wineries and distilleries close by and The Grand Hotel in the main street was excellent, we were so impressed with our meals and service. If you have bikes the cycle to St Leonards was easy along the water front. Lots of little cafes and places to eat and it just had a very relaxed feel. We would definitely visit again. The views also from Jack Rabbit winery were absolutely breathtaking and we had a great wine tasting with Peter at Lethbridge Winery - well worth a visit.

Good location and friendly staff.
Good location and friendly staff. Park right outside your door. Just 400m from the town centre with plenty of eating options. The bakery is fantastic. Best egg and bacon roll ever. The ferry is too far either.

It’s a gorgeous wee coastal town with several eating options especially later in the week. We have been here before on the ferry from Docklands. We had our car on this trip and drove back to Melbourne via the Queenscliff ferry to Sorrento. There are lots of vineyards to visit close by. On this occasion tho’ we visited Basil’s Farm for lunch.

Portarlington is still relatively undeveloped, no high-rise hotel complexes, though they are being planned. Good for relaxing!
If you like quirky places with great tasting food, go to Saints and Sailors for their gumbo. And book in advance for their entertainment nights as they book out quickly.
Lovely beaches in Portarlington. Tasty mussels. A strip of shops with variety of cafes, and Woolies around the corner.
On the way in from Drysdale is Jack Rabbit winery with great food and amazing bay views from their hilltop.
Only 23kms to Queenscliff and Point Lonsdale for more beaches, cafes and galleries etc.
What an absolute gem of a place. Denise couldn't have done more for us. The room is large with an open fire which we didn't use unfortunately as it wasn't cold enough. Large oh so comfortable bed, huge TV and there were enough provisions to feed a small army :D eg Fruit platter, cookies, yoghurt, breakfast cereals, orange juice etc. I only wish our trip wasn't just for the one night. Highly recommend that if you are looking at staying in Portarlington that this is the place for you. You won't regret it.
Great house for a big family with Table tennis, billiard table and two living spaces. Loved the view out to the bay from the balcony. Short stroll into the heart of Portarlington. We left our booking for Easter late so Portarlington was not high on our list but we were pleasantly surprised by this town, beautifully designed bay infrastructure, ferry rides, great boutique shops, historic pub and the discovery of the food truck park was gold. We had two meals at the Indian truck it was that good.
The property was absolutely beautiful- with great living spaces for a large group and nice spacious rooms!
It was in a fantastic location in Portarlington and was perfect for our stay- we were a large group of 10 and it easily for us all as well as an extra person who stayed in one of the spacious living rooms! Ami and rob were very easy to contact and lovely to communicate with.
Very comfortable and clean accommodation with delicious breakfast supplies. Especially liked the fruit platter, homemade jams, baked goodies and the open fire! The hosts (Denise & Ian) were welcoming and lovely but never intrusive. I arrived by ferry and Ian met me at the ferry terminal, which was great! Will definitely stay again when visiting Portarlington the next time.
Location excellent one street behind Main St Portarlington. Easy walk to the very close shops and beachfront. Views of beach from the front porch. Beds in both bedrooms super comfortable. The premises has beautiful ambience and historical character. Excellent presentation, breakfast supplied and host and hostess most accommodating. Thank you.
A really lovely property. Ideal location very close to Portarlington main high street. We stayed here for our last two nights in the town to be near family. Lovely and clean and good facilities. Would definitely recommend. If we ever make it back to Australia again I'd look this one up.
Pauline and Peter were very helpful and friendly. The continental breakfast provided was lovely and we enjoyed the bread and homemade jam.
The location was great too about a 3 min drive to Portarlington Pier. Kids loved the different animals on the farm.
We loved the location. Very close to the beach. Very close to portarlington. Quiet and comfy. Very clean. We stayed here with out 2.5yo on our bicycles and they were great. The staff were very accommodating with our bikes. Great.
The location was excellent, easy walk to everything Portarlington has to offer, and the hosts very responsive, warm and very welcoming. The accommodation was very clean.
