It is a standard motel - easy to find, in house restaurant with reasonable food, comfortable bed, low price but nothing outstanding. Clean but smelled highly (and unpleasantly) of cleaning products when we arrived! No pod machine, no extra decorations but a decent sized table where we played a game. The room was fully renovated, very comfortable, clean and simply decorated. The Staff was very helpful and very friendly. We loved staying here. The only small disappointment was the breakfast. From the pictures we expected a buffet continental breakfast with croissants as the picture showed. However the breakfast was provided in the room which we could take out with us to the common kitchen area and only had bread and jams and yoghurt.

After seeing my review and reading others, it would seem that the motel has either a power problem or there's an issue with signal strength for air con, TV and other electrics. It was just an overnight stay.
It was just an overnight stay. Murrumbateman isn't a big place but I believe there are wineries close by & it is close to ACT. The Country Inn was busy that evening, which may explain why the meal was disappointing & the vegetables raw & cold. (Not meant to be a salad).

The motel is behind the hotel, and so is shielded to an extent from the highway. I stayed there because I had tasks on that side of Canberra next day. Stopped over on the way to Melbourne, spent an extra night, to go visit the Portrait Gallery in Canberra, less than an hour away. We were there mid week so not many of the winery’s were open but a visit to Shaw’s winery well worth it. Jugion, nearby was worth a stop on the way home.
