A La Folly, hotel in Mannum

Located in Murray Bridge, A La Folly is a charming renovated, rustic stone cottage, boasting garden views and free parking on site. Free WiFi is available.

The B&b is exquisite in its eclectic decor. The place is easy to find, the bed was so comfy, the water was hot with good pressure in the outdoor shower and the breakfast was a delicious treat. Highly recommend and would stay again. There is a microwave, tea and coffee, a heater if needed (not needed on my stay as was so cosy) and eco home touches everywhere. It’s so quiet and relaxing, loved it. The family are so welcoming and the dog is the cutest.

A very neat, small town with picturesque views of the Murray River. The local takeaway shop served fish and chips that were amazing, and the Pretoria hotel dine-in restaurant served possibly the best Chicken Stitzel I have ever had. Mannum is the perfect place to stay and visit the local shops or explore the surrounding areas and what South Australia has to offer.

Lots of antique shops, houseboats, food and fun places to visit. Take a trip on the Marion up the river to explore the sites. Fish from the river with your magnet rods, jetski or take a trip on the ferry to cross the other side of the river. Lots of things to do. A place to visit repeatedly.

Beautiful walks (highly recommend the waterfalls) Food was great there. Not too many walking trails within town, but if you head slightly out of town or across the river, the scenery is amazing along with the wildlife.

The Museum was very well done.

The Museum was very well done. Allow up to at least 3 hours to effectively take in all of the displays. The Information Centre could improve its "front of house" staff. Initially very helpful. But, when we returned to book a cruise along the Murray on the "Mayflower", we were told it was not available, BUT it was advertised including a sandwich board outside. If the cruise is not available it should be advertised as such. Disappointing!

Excellent location. We can see that the facilities are upgraded, ie kitchen (love the bright light chandelier), bathroom, laundry all good. Excellent Beds. Much better space, privacy and facilities for 3 (or 4) in two bedrooms rather than in a shared motel room or the caravan park. Price therefore was excellent value, very easy check-in and good follow up by our host. Beautiful roses in November.

Andrew has put effort into the little touches, board games, Dvds supplied. The queen size bed was very comfortable. Great heating (we stayed in winter) and kitchen well set out. The view - amazing! Large grassy area out front, river frontage, own dock. Great birdlife. It is across the river from Mannum with a car ferry just up the road. Lovely and quiet in winter. So relaxing. Highly recommend!

(No breakfast option via booking .com) The location was superb. Hosts warm and accommodating. The site itself was stunning with everything thought of. Beautiful decor and toasty warm. Bonus points to the wombat who visited us on our first night!! A mention also about the community of Mannum. Wonderful food options and really friendly locals.

The location of the cabin was great. I booked a river front and it was almost inside the water. I could go fishing from my balcony If I wanted. Two bedrooms well equiped with kitchenware including a grill. Heater working perfectly. Definetly a great cabin for a weekend away.

The motel is well situated in the main street of Mannum, close to all facilities. It also has a restaruant which is open I think Wednesday to Sunday. It was booked out when we were there so can't comment on the food.
