We needed a place to stay overnight. We need to be in meeniyan but it was totally booked out. Opal motel was the next closest, most reasonably priced place. It was really clean but a little bit tired. Bed was comfortable and sheets crispy. It was very quiet despite having a few guests. It did the job!

Lovely cottage. Great log-burner. Town and countryside is great. Slight issue with a light curtain rail above the hallway doorway that fell on someone, but everything else was fine.

Leongatha is a lovely town but be very careful where you stay. Unfortunately the place I stayed on my first visit was booked out so had to find somewhere else. There are some lovely shops there and some hidden nuggets.

We had originally booked to stay as some friends were coming down from NSW, but due to lockdown they couldnt come. We went anyway thinking of maybe extending our stay but found the town a bit dull with little to do, so were glad we were only staying one night. We had some nice meals and the breakfast was a highlight at the little cafe over the road.

Also visited McCartin's Hotel and played the Pokies, have had a meal here too in the past and found it to be good value. had a lovely breakfast, cant remember the name, but was on the corner of main thoughfare, very good pricing and excellent foodJennyAustralia
