I didn't have breakfast. The location was great. Basic but comfortable and great for someone who was just passing through

We only stayed in Deloraine overnight to meet the Spirit of Tasmania in Devonport the next morning. But Daloraine is a lovely little town and deserves a longer stay. I would find a farm stay or similar if I was to base myself at Dalorain for a few days to a week.
Can highly recommend the British Hotel for dinner or a drink. Their micro brewed dark Ale was superb (unfortunately they had no bottles left for sale, only on tap).
There are plenty of waterfalls within an hours drive from the town, Lillydale, Parsons etc.
Launceston is also only a short drive if you can be bothered going there (I only go to see the Macaques in the botanic gardens), but if you want to explore the west Tamar valley, there’s plenty to see and do up there.

Clean and comfortable well set up and excellent bathroom.
Clean and comfortable well set up and excellent bathroom. Allocated room very noisy and as it was next to the laundry and cleaners room it was a less than attractive hallway piled with linen bags. Very noisy as the air conditioning vent was outside my window. No breakfast, water/tea/coffee in room. Felt a bit neglected out the ‘back’ so avoid rooms 16,15,14 at all costs. No real introduction to the facility just here is your keys 🔑. Great location and good in restaurant pretty good. I liked it and would recommend it but watch what room you get.

The river walks from the rapids to the tranquility of the beautiful reflections. Searching and finding and watching Platypus in the river was a highlight. Discovering the Arts and Crafts scene of the region was amazing. Loved meeting charcoal and pencil Artist Fiona Francois at her Gallery in town. The cafes and Hotels are fabulous. Deloraine has a great vibe.

Great central position as a base for exploring the area.
Great central position as a base for exploring the area. Delightful town with eclectic stores and yummy bakeries. Lovely atmosphere. Picturesque. Our second stay here was just as enjoyable as our first. Recommend it highly to all our friends.
This was our second stay and my mum, daughter and I had another lovely stay. Friday night we had a lovely movie night on the comfy couch and in the background the rain was falling and the fire was crackling away, it was just perfect! Saturday morning I fuelled up with a pot of tea in anticipation of a big day. We enjoyed shopping in Deloraine (just a few minutes away) as well as the craft fair over the weekend. Definitely will be back.
Great central place in the middle of Deloraine. The owners and staff were very friendly and made me feel at home.
The Breakfast was free and had everything you could need, toast, yoghurt, fruit, fruit juice, cereals, tea and coffee.
The breakfast room is a friendly space.
The food was amazing, they have a great menu. I was surprised at how trendy the menu was and it had a lot of choices. All in all a great place to stay.
Perfectly decked out, comfy beds, generous breakfast supplies, quiet farm outlook, close to natural attractions and the town of Deloraine for supplies. Wished we'd stayed more than one night. Definitely a much better option than staying in Launceston as it's so quiet and picturesque. Melissa was really accommodating and even introduced the kids to their goat.
Lovely historical Manor home close to the town centre of pretty Deloraine.
We really appreciated the extra touches( freshly baked bread on arrival, cheese platter, port and chocolates and breakfast supplies) that made this a memorable stay
The bed was super comfortable and the electric blankets were much appreciated as it was very cold during our stay.
Hotel was quite old but nice design. Location is close to park where I can see platypus in evening. Hotel has platypus walking tour around 16:30 but we missed it due to late arrival. We stayed in twin room which has small living area. Overall is clean and comfy with reasonable price. There were plenty of breakfast in living room.
The old gardeners shed has been transformed into a comfortable cottage with all needed facilities for an extended stay. The rooms are all much larger than expected and tastefully decorated. The cottage has a cosy feel and the large walk-in rain shower was wonderfully piping hot.
Well renovated hotel in the heart of Deloraine. Lovely meal in the restaurant. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely shared kitchen and lounge room upstairs for guests. Clean room and comfortable bed. Shared toilets and bathrooms well fitted out and very clean.
Excellent Victorian heritage listed residence owned and operated by Maria, a wonderful hostess. We enjoyed the genuine hospitality and ambience.
Deloraine is a small town and pleasant for a few days R and R.
Highly recommended.

Absolutely beautiful cabins in a quiet and lovely location. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen supplied with everything needed to cook a few meals, and the views bucolic. We could have happily stayed much longer!
The owners are lovely and happy to tell you about the history of Tahara. Everything you could possibly need is there available. Beds are comfortable and it is a good location close to centre of Deloraine.
booked this hotel because of the Era it was built, love the high ceilings etc.................. would have loved to have breakfast provided as the shops in the main street are mediocre.
Great place to base our group for hiking in the area. Everything we need including laundry facilities, parking, on-site restaurant, and easy access to Deloraine township.
Room was very clean, beds comfortable lovely view of the hills. Very reasonably priced. Had dinner in the hotel and was surprised by the choice and quality of our meals.
