Surrounded by azure waters, Day Dream Island Hotel greeted us with warmth and hospitality. Little did we know, the true surprise lay in the unparalleled friendliness of the staff, who eagerly assisted with every aspect of our stay from the moment we booked. From organizing activities to seamless transfers, their proactive approach ensured a stress-free experience. The Reef Rangers program/activity immersed us in the wonders of the marine world, while the array of water sports on offer at the other side of the island exhilarated our senses. With each moment, Day Dream Island Hotel revealed itself as a hidden gem, surpassing our every expectation. Wished for more gluten free and dairy free options.

Unfortunately Daydream Island felt like being in the National Lampoon’s Vacation. From having to wait 30min to check in while pregnant and with a 2yo in the heat, to unhelpful front desk staff refusing our request to get housekeeping to come earlier than 5pm, this “resort” is so overpriced and definitely not worth it. It’s 5 star prices for 2 star cleanliness, comfort and staff. I do need to acknowledge the general manager, Marcus Taylor, who we wrote to with our concerns and came back straight away addressing them, guest centric attitude. Unfortunately for him the job ahead to make this a 10/10 place is huge

Staff are very helpful and polite and certainly have brilliant customer service, if this hadn’t been the case we would’ve probably checked out of the hotel! The location is very beautiful- unfortunately the resort needs an overhaul to update its rooms, pool areas, bars and facilities. I would say this is more like a budget hotel than the luxury it should be. We stayed 5 nights and were ready to leave at the end as there’s very little to do entertaining. Be prepared to organise as many off island trips as you can! Also, food quality isn’t great especially at the prices they charge. I’d say it’s a good one night stop off if you get a good discount room. Such a shame as there’s so much potential for this resort to be amazing!!!

Great get away holiday where you can choose to relax on the island or relax and also explore the Whitsundays by taking day trips with cruise Whitsundays. Staff work very hard and they were nice and friendly. Best to book restaurants to avoid eating in the buffet for dinner. Restaurants are very good . Lovely island to relax on and I really enjoyed the live reef and stingray ponds. There is a small shop on the island that sells essentials but best to pack everything you need for your stay. Hope to return another time :)

Didn't get room we booked; got pushed down to Harbour Wing where the building accoustics are abysmal - wind-driven door slams, never-ending chair scrapes and foot-strikes from floor above, noisy children. Buffet breakfast is a bun fight to find plates, spoons, etc - and they were slow to top up cereal, orange juice, etc. Daydream? Not for us; never again!!

Beautiful resort! The staff were wonderful and we had a fabulous few days. The food at the upstairs restaurant was excellent and we loved the mix of a family friendly resort with a swim up bar - it ticked every box for us! Kangaroos hopping around and looking at the sea life was really special. We took a walk around the island to the other end and the views on the way.... wow. Big shout out to the yoga tutor - I took a class and it was fantastic! We did three nights and could have stayed longer honestly. A total escape!

Lover's cove, it is so beautiful. The pools, underwater consevatory and reef living are very very nice, we love it. The breakfast was great! We had dinner at both restaurant (Salti and Infinity) and very happy with the foods we ordered. All staff was very friendly and helpful. Special shout out to Tiff who guided the reef rangers tour for our boys, she is very knowledgeable and has a very positive happy attitude! She made our day extra special. I highly recommend Daydream island for a relaxing holiday.

Loved everything about Daydream Island resort. The staff were amazing. Mangers did an amazing job covering all areas of the facility. We didn't feel lost as there was always staff around to help. Housekeepers are the best, super friendly and always had our beds made cleaned daily. Restaurant staff always working hard to get our food served. I cannot fault this place as it is well managed and on point with everything it advertised. Wished we stayed longer.

My newlywed Husband and I absolutley loved Daydream island! We arrived at the resort 2 hours before check-in and straight away thought it was our favourite stop on our honeymoon (before we had even seen our room!) The staff were so lovely, the food was divine, the views were spectacular, and the sunsets were amazing! Lover's Cove is an absolute must-see, especially when there is live music being played to watch the sunset. We will be back!!

The hotel foyer is beautiful. The pools are lovely with plenty of loungers. The hotel provides special towels to use at the pool. We were at ground level and had a balcony. We were often visited by a cockatoo, kangaroos and curlews. It was wonderful to be so close to the wildlife. The breakfast buffet was extensive and good quality with good gluten free options.

Such a relaxing holiday. Great for families and couples. We loved the living reef snorkelling and Stingray feeding with the marine biologists. The breakfast was great and the 3 restaurants had a lovely variety to choose from. Lovely swimming pools as well as a swim up bar. We couldn't recommend Daydream Island more and will definitely be returning.

Great range of activities for a young family, this is important as there is no sandy beach to play on and because the weather may prevent certain water activities such as kayaking, sailing, and the pool may be too cool to swim in for a long time during winter
