Our cabin was perfectly adequate for a short stay, with the usual expected facilities. The bed was comfy and the location quiet, with parking right at our door. It was good value.

There is so much to do, so much to see, so much to read, so much to learn, so much to take in, it is a beautiful experience to discover more about this beautiful country.

We visited Broken Hill for three nights as a learning experience for out 10yo grand-daughter. There is lots to see and do - specially recommend: Outback Astronomy; Historic Daydream Mine; Royal Flying Doctor Service; Pro Hart Gallery; Menindee Lakes area, especially Historic Woolshed and drive out to Burke and Wills campsite; Living Desert National Park especially sculptures; Albert Kersten minerology and geology museum; Silverton, especially Mundi Mundi lookout and the cemetery; Block 10 lookout and Miners Memorial. You should get a 4WD vehicle to access all areas.

We stayed overnight only as a stop on a longer journey. From what little we saw, Broken Hill is steeped in mining history and pioneering in Australia. It's a clean and tidy town with good facilities and quite a lot to see. We intend to go back when time allows.

😊 Extra wide roads & footpaths, extremely friendly people, great weather, easy to navigate around town, parking was readily available & accessible, plentiful shops & cafes, tourist attractions great - was more to history of town than expected & locals are proud of this. BH Visitor Info Centre & Ladies at BH Family History Group & Caretaker at the Cemetary well all extremely helpful. Larry at Whites Mining Museum impressive display & great narrator of the BH History.
😒 sadly which is no fault of the locals - the countryside is dry & Barron.

Unfortunately I went when many tours were resting.
Unfortunately I went when many tours were resting.
This meant I could have booked privately but the cost was beyond me.
Travelling alone has its drawbacks.
Locals were very very helpful and I was offered and I accepted many lifts.
Being to the larger supermarkets.
Being to The Miners Memorial.
Broken Hill has a wealth of History and the multitude of information gathered on walks is brilliant.
Back home, friends were keen to listen to stories from Broken Hill and I felt vindicated for travelling there , given on my own .
PROBUS does do trips there but I am not a member.
Well Done, Broken Hill.
I would avoid going in Rest Time for Tour Companies.

Visited relatives but had our own freedom.
Visited relatives but had our own freedom. Dropped into the art gallery and most shops in the main street, used the facilities for dining but on one occasion dined at the Democratic club, would recommend a visit to Silverton
I stayed here for five days with my husband and another couple. We all really enjoyed this property. Everything worked very well, the two bedrooms were comfy and spacious. There were a few different spaces for people to sit and relax. It was also located in a quiet area of Broken Hill. We loved coming back to the comforts of the house after a day of exploring Broken Hill and surrounds. The owner was also very responsive and helpful in relation to a couple of minor queries.
The hotel is a very well maintained and retains an Art Deco atmosphere.
The bathroom was very European in size, understandable as it had to be retro-fitted but was modern with everything one needs.
Unfortunately, the hotel does not serve breakfast on Sundays so we were unable to appreciate their wonderful dinning room.
We had a great stay in Broken Hill. Easy check-in. Large clean house. Located just around the corner from main street restaurants, bars and sights. 5 minute to shopping centres and supermarket. Glen was a great host and made sure we settled in comfortably.
The entire experience was great. The room was wonderful and the team very helpful.
There is great pool and adjoining covered BBQ area. This would have to be our first choice after staying in three Broken Hill motels.
Beautiful property that really taps into the heritage of Broken Hill. Well stocked with everything one needs for their stay. Nice and quiet location. Super friendly and helpful hosts. And best of all - pet friendly!
Lovely service, the hotel is nothing flash but the bed was very comfortable and having a restaurant onsite that served absolutely delicious food (I have NEVER seen a scotch fillet so big, and it was very tasty too!)
Lovely, quiet, beautifully restored hotel with comfortable bed and private bathroom (old world charm with modern comforts). Accommodation only (no pub), which means no noisy patrons on the balcony. Bliss.
The beds! OMG, that bed in the cabins was so comfortable that I didn't want to get out to continue our travels. The rooms were so spacious. The bathroom with a view out to the countryside was awesome.
Great friendly place to stay in Broken Hill. Walking distance to the Centre for pubs, cafes and shops. Would definately recommed upgrading to a spa room for a bit more luxury! Thanks Janelle & Troy!
The property is a great location close to town , whilst property is on a busy road there isn’t alot of noise , there is a restaurant onsite and a hotel with good pub meals across the road is great
Amazing hotel with the old historical vibe. Hotel style, decoration is very nice and room was furnished well. The room was large, clean, bed linen was very clean and overall was a nice experience!
It was a quiet location,
The one way window in the spa bathroom was a great touch
The reception, Hotel staff, and house keeping were excellent, acknowledged us we were happy to wait 😃
Location to Argent Street, shops and restaurants is excellent. Pub style accommodation with common toilets and showers. All facilities were older but clean. Great value for money.
The property was lovely, very well presented. Perfect for our stay in Broken Hill with friends. It is centrally located, easy walk to pubs and places to eat.
