I've stayed here before and this motel is so much better than expected. The rooms are well equipped and laid out, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful and even though it is so close to the centre of Bendigo it is quiet.

We went to the Parisian Art Exhibition which was amazing.
We went to the Parisian Art Exhibition which was amazing. The restaurant also had a French menu which was very good. Lovely staff.
The Chinese Dragon gardens & surrounding gardens were beautiful with all the fall leaves coming.
We were there Monday & Tuesday so some of the restaurants we were thinking of going to were closed those days.
The church was also closed those days.
Bendigo is a very relaxed & beautiful historic town.
We probably should have stayed another day to even see more of the nearby areas.
We had breakfast at an amazing organic restaurant that also sells fruit & vegetables. You will find it in Lyttleton Terrace. Lovely young friendly staff & tasty healthy food.

Bendigo has a great art gallery and some fantastic heritage buildings and museums. There are also good food options such as The Dispensary (highly recommend). It is a good base camp for discovering the area to visit other heritage towns.

Plenty of local attractions to see, with lots of period architecture.
Foodies are very well catered for with abundant little restaurants all through the city centre and some amazing menu items.
Two recommendations are the Golden Square Hotel (I ordered Thia Red Duck Curry, which was very nice. But when I saw the Chef's special for the night coming out - Porterhouse Steak and Pot/Glass of wine $28 - I wished I had ordered that instead.
The other one is Sim'r in Hargreaves St, which has some amazing things on the menu and make in-house a range of amazing breads

Borchelli Italian restaurant is great, with excellent meals and desserts. Bendigo Art Gallery is worth a visit, with the current Paris: Impressions of Life exhibition. The Hat Shop is also fun, with a huge selection of hats. The Australian Eucalyptus Oil Company has a good selection of products for gifts, plus plenty of shops to suit all tastes.

Bendigo has an excellent Art Gallery and is worth visiting when a major art exhibition is being held. Paris Impressionists was worth the visit.
Bendigo is a charming old style city with buildings and churches which have been preserved.
Bunji Thai is an exceptional restaurant on Park Lane.
It is an easy city to walk and leave the car behind.
Their hospitality was exceptional, and they were always ready to assist. The room was a perfect blend of comfort and functionality and impeccably clean. Given it was warm we certainly made use of the pool facility. The location is ideal being directly opposite Lake Weeroona with a blend of cafes and restaurants nearby and not too far from the City Centre. We have stayed here on multiple occasions and continue to return due to the hospitality and the amenities cater to all our needs.
The Hotel Shamrock is brilliantly located right in the heart of the lovely town of Bendigo. It’s a beautiful old dame of a hotel. It’s seen better years. The room carpet in particular tells many stories of wine spills and goodness knows what else. However the bathroom, towels and bed linen are sparkingly clean. Hopefully a return to a healthy tourism industry will help the Shamrock update this gorgeous building.
Beautiful historic building right in the centre of Bendigo. Staff were very accommodating and the rooms were divine! Large living area, 2 separate queen rooms within the executive suits, good size bathrooms and lovely and clean. Nice and quiet too!
The hotel connects to a car park that has free parking on the weekends too!
We will definitely be back and can highly recommend 😁
Absolutely gorgeous!
Hotel Ernest blew us away. The old bank has been renovated into a stunning Bendigo escape. The service is exceptional and we could not recommend it highly enough. We were able to walk everywhere, from the theatre to dinner and through the gorgeous gardens that are right next door.
We cannot wait to come back and stay again!
Thank you Hotel Ernest!
The staff here were exceptional. Very helpful and friendly. The accommodation was roomy and comfortable with good facilities. The bar/restaurant attached was friendly and the food was good. It's about a 10 minute walk into Bendigo or a short cab ride. We could hear movement from the apartment above but this was minimal and didn't affect our stay. Would recommend.
The Motel was conveniently across the road from a hotel for our meals. They also deliver if you can't be bothered going out.
Nice and quiet room - faced the main road but was very quiet especially at night.
Staff very friendly, room was very clean. I would highly recommend this Motel for your stay in Bendigo.
Quest always offers value for money and Quest Bendigo was no exception. Large, spacious and with all the facilities of home, it made for a wonderful stay. While there were a couple of maintenance issues that could be improved easily, the apartment was more than we expected and we'll definitely return.
well located being close to city centre and part of a hotel complex serving excellent food you could tell by the crowd that turned up for a meal and entertainment that it had a good reputation. I’m a little biased having been born and raised in Bendigo but things just keep I proving
Staff were very attentive and helpful. The price is really good value. Easy access and easy to find. The wi-fi worked really well and was a decent bandwidth, often I find I end up hotspotting my phone as the 'free wifi' at motels is so slow. Bathroom and room was very clean.
Beautifully renovated cottage so much more inviting and cosy than hotel rooms generally on offer. Large walk in showers, comfy beds and heating. Fully equipped kitchen & laundry etc - perfect for a longer stay. Well located with cafe across the road and pub around the corner.
The location was a easy drive to the Bendigo, n close to grocery shops, hotels for meals, also fast food.
The air conditioning was great, the shower had HOT water..
Would stay there again
Plus the staff answered questions I asked and were very helpful and polite
We arrived there early, but the desk staff still helped us check in quickly. When we went into the room, the room was spotless also we liked the comfortable bed. The hotel's location is convenient near the city or the Lake.
The password lock on each door was good, never seen that before in a house turned airbnb. Usually only in hotels/motels where all rooms have separate keys/key card. It gave a sense of security that our things are safe.
I was surprised at how nice it is, and don't understand why it only has a 3 star rating. I've stayed at plenty of hotels and motels with higher ratings that weren't as nice. Will definitely stay there again.
Clean, bright room that was small but well designed and comfortable. Great location, we walked from the hotel to do things. The lobby downstairs was colourful and a great place to chat with our friends.
For a week long tournament in Bendigo was perfect. Close to the Courts. On site free washing/dryer facilities. As a family of three we are at the hotel most days…restaurant staff so friendly.
