Beautiful property, great location complemented by a stunning town.
Boasting a garden and views of garden, The Graces Beechworth is a bed and breakfast set in a historic building in Beechworth, 37 km from Wangaratta Performing Arts Centre.
Very friendly people, especially in the Visitor's Centre.
Very friendly people, especially in the Visitor's Centre. They have recommendations for tours and useful maps. Beautiful town to just wander around but also lots to do and see. The self-guided cemetery tour is fascinating, as is the prison tour. Don't miss the Burke Museum with its row of shop fronts from Old Beechworth. Listen to stories from the past in the Telegraph Museum. On Mayday Hills you can go on a history or ghost tour of the old asylum which is very informative. Also, there are escape rooms and a great puzzle shop! Visit Bilson's brewery for free tastings of the many flavours of cordial (or alcoholic drinks), and the Beechworth Honey shop for honey tastings. There is also the lolly shop and the Beechworth Bakery and lots of other eateries in town. Should be a definite stop for anyone travelling in the area!

Beechworth is a lovely village.
Beechworth is a lovely village. Visit Indigo Winery (just outside Beechworth) for a brilliant wine tasting and a delicious lunch of local produce and it's dog friendly. A trip to Yackandandah is a must. It's an even prettier village than Beechworth. Great selection of shops, including a custom hat maker. Dinner at the Empire Hotel in Beechworth was fabulous. A trip to Beechworth wouldn't be complete without a visit to Bridge Road Brewers (dog friendly courtyard), pizzas are yum.

Beechworth is a lovely historic town that is clean and maintained well. The wide roads and main town plan is well layed out. Loads of history, variety of shops, great local gourmet food and produce/wineries and great jewellery shops! The big trees that line the streets offset the old historical buildings. Locals who have that good old fashion welcome. This region is a little Gem- in all seasons!

Beechworth is a very beautiful historic gold mining town, with lots of historical information and places of interest. You could spend at least a week exploring Beechworth and the surrounding towns which also have interesting history. The landscape is beautiful, with rolling hills, flowing creeks and magnificent Australian flora. There are many cafes to get good coffee and delicious food as well as a number of boutiques where you can get quality clothing. Beechworth is a great place for walking.

Beechworth has so much history.
Beechworth has so much history. To walk around and see it preserved is amazing. Shopping isn't bad but like any regional town expensive. Food: Beechworth bakery especially the Bee Sting; Little Nev for coffee; Miss Amelie Gourmet for pies; the Ageing Frog for fish and chips and Beechworth Sweet Co for amazing fudge. We are already planning our next visit. Two nights felt too short.

We stayed for 3 nights in Beechworth Cedar Cottages. Set in beautiful gardens our 2 bedroom cottage (named Ingram) had been very well maintained and was spotlessly clean. Everything we needed was provided and the facilities generally in the cottage were excellent. I cannot recommend Beechworth Cedar Cottages more highly than to say that we found our cottage to be, without doubt, the best we have stayed in during many trips through the rural areas of Victoria, NSW and South Australia.
Lake Sambell is the perfect peaceful spot to stay and explore Beechworth and the Indigo region. The site was clean, organised, offered great amenity, and had a beautiful outlook over the lake with a great walking track looping around it. Service was sensational. And it will be a great HQ for the annual trail running event Beechworth Beer Run every May. We'll be back to take part having explored the Indigo MTB on which the event will run for one day a year! Awesome.
Close to everything that is worth visiting in Beechworth. Walk to shoppes and many restaurants. Quiet location in spite of proximity. Historic Gaol nearby famous for incarcerating Ned Kelly...hence the name "Amour". Has a small solar heated pool (Didn't try) and on-site off-street parking right in front of rooms on the ground floor. Melissa, very helpful managerial staff with suggestions for restaurants and massage.
Beechworth on Bridge is a quaint motel with a great sense of character and charm. The gardens surrounding the rooms and grounds provide privacy and a lovely outlook. In better weather it would have been lovely to take advantage of the various nooks around the garden for a spot of relaxation. The hot breakfast brought to our room was a wonderful way to start the day.
We had the most amazing time at French Cottage in Beechworth. Upon arrival, we were greeted with locally made crumpets and wine, which we enjoyed in the natural light-filled dining/living area. Additionally, the garden at the back was beautiful and well-maintained. Overall, we would definitely stay at the property again!
Twelve on Albert is superb boutique accommodation well located in Beechworth. The entry - foyer and communal lounge area was elegant. The room had lovely decor, was clean with a comfortable king sized bed, quality product and luxurious robes.
We highly recommend Twelve on Albert!
Located right at the heart of the city centre, it provided easy access to all the beautiful sights of the Beechworth streets. Hot shower, super comfy bed, and generous placement of heating in every room meant that the cool nights were of no issue.
Spacious room with QUEEN SIZE BED and flat screen TV, blackout curtains. Lovely quiet location a short drive to the centre of Beechworth. It has grassed picnic areas with tables and chairs and a swimming pool and BBQ.
The boutique hotel from old stables revamped in luxury spa suites was exceptionally comfortable. The room felt homely and warm, and made a welcoming environment especially for us when returning from the snow.
We liked the quirkiness and character of a 1930s hotel. The windows opened to fresh air. Bathroom was clean and larger than normal. Beautiful views of autumn trees from bedroom window. Good walk to town.
the location was great for sightseeing around Beechworth. The house was well set up for our group. Enjoyed sitting out around the fire pit at night watching the stars. Had all our meals at the house.
Excellent location. A 2 minute walk to the many cafes, restaurants and specialty shops. Also walking distance to Beechworth Gaol. Would highly recommend booking a tour there.
My accommodation was excellent and the Hibernian is close to the main area of Beechworth. The food at the restaurant was really good, and staff were efficient and friendly.
Lovely little hotel where the hosts make an effort to make you feel welcome. Great facilities and while a little bit out of town it's a lovely and easy walk in.
