Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Plenty of space inside. Also outdoor area. Kitchen was well equipped. Large fridge and freezer. We didn’t require the disabled access but it was available. Water was hot. Laundry facilities were excellent with choice of hanging clothes outside or placing in the dryer. We appreciated the double lockup garage as we were towing a trailer. Large TVs in both lounge and bedroom. Three bathroom’s and bedrooms available. Also air conditioning worked well as due to the house’s aspect it can get cool on a cloudy/wet day. Easy access to local shops.

We travelled by car to Avoca and the scenery and roads were really good. Once in Avoca the one way street tripped us up in a country town. But the place exceeded our expectations, room for everyone to spread out. Kids loved the double bunk with single on top. The staff were very accommodating. Breakfast had everything we needed to start our day. Weren't quite sure about shower but it was better than it looked. Very hot water. Town had the usual couple of hotels with food which was delicious. We went to the Avoca Hotel and our teens enjoyed exploring the street. Really old buildings from the Gold rush days and a fitting memorial to our diggers. Enjoyed the time and will return one day!

Unfortunately many cafes were closed during our brief stay.
Unfortunately many cafes were closed during our brief stay. A petrol station with workshop is on one corner as you go through town. On Sunday had enough time to visit the Stickybeaks craft shop where I found a delicious Summer Berries tea and a book.
The property was cosy and comfortable. Plenty of room on our unit. The grounds were lovely. There was a small bbq area very clean too. There is also a double garage shed where there are cooking facilities and basic stuff for cooking and eating books a lounge area games. Perfect for large or small groups who want to share and eat together. It was also very clean and tidy. Hosts were friendly and welcoming. There is a small dairy next door for any supplies so convenient. Very quiet area. Would very much recommend Avoca motel.
I can not speak too highly of this property and its owner. My wife was taken ill and we intended to drive home missing some bookings, but she improved to the point that a stay in Avoca seemed warranted. We arrived a day early hoping that our booking could be advanced. The owner was able to accommodate this and did so with great courtesy including an upgrade in the process. This is an ideal place to stay if you wish to visit the many wineries in the Pyrenees Region. Full marks to the Avoca Motel.
Fantastic getaway country accommodation with relaxing gardens and patio deck that entices you to take in beautiful country scenery and serenity of abundant bird life. Walking distance to town, clubs and parks with plenty of options in Pyrenees Ranges of Vineyards, Sightseeing, Bushwalking activities. Absolute First Class Facility and Great Value. Do not usually post many reviews But Avoca Cottages is thoroughly worthy of praise.
Managed to get a quick break between lockdowns in Victoria and this was just what we needed. Peaceful and so very relaxing in a lovely setting. The cook-your-own-breakfast was a wonderful surprise included in the price and an incredibly generous amount. Jane, the host, was extremely welcoming and made us feel quite at home. I cannot praise it highly enough! Thanks, Jane, we'll be back when these lockdowns are finished!
Lovely location. Everything you could possibly need was provided and the cottage was very clean and comfortable. The owners were on site and were very helpful. They were particularly concerned we might be have been disturbed by a couple of larger groups in 2 of the other cottages, but there was no problem at all. I highly recommend a stay at Avoca Cottages!
This is a wonderful place to stay. Super room, very large and a very comfy bed. The location is terrific. Avoca is a lovely place to stay. I would definitely choose to stay there again. The owner even let us do our laundry there. They also have plenty of kitchen equipment if you choose to eat in.
Very comfortable cottage for me and my kids. Perfect after a hike in the Grampians with spa bath and massage chair to soothe sore muscles. Great layout with cottages facing the river red gums and central deck area. Also recommend having a meal at Avoca hotel, delicious food!
We liked the friendliness and warmth we were welcomed at the Avoca Motel. The location near the centre of Avoca with easy access to local businesses such as grocery shopping and local bars and coffee shops. The room was clean and fulfilled our expectations.
The room was very comfortable and clean. Even turning on the heater to warm the room before arrivl Staff were lovely and welcomed me warmly to Avoca. It wil be recommended by me and if travelling through one day it will be on my list.
A very comfortable stay, within easy walking distance to the Pyrenees Unearthed festival and the Main Street of Avoca. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and crockery.
Always a good stay in Avoca; only a stroll to the gastropub, and ready next day for the highway - or this time, the Grampians nearby via a beautiful road.
Peaceful location. Clean, very spacious room. Close to the centre of Avoca where we ate at the Avoca Hotel. Great to walk along the river. Easy check in.
