Barossa Weintal Hotel, hotel in Angaston

Barossa Weintal Hotel is located in the heart of Australia’s wine country, within walking distance of several wineries and just 1 hour's drive north of Adelaide.

It was clean modern and very comfortable Our stay was very special as we are in SA from Darwin. I am here because my sons has a cancerous brain tumor. It was nice to be out of the city and to let him have a relaxing bath in a very comfortable bath tub. We are not used to the cold and to have a good soak was very good. Also we cannot sit in restaurants as he cannot afford to catch any colds. So to be able to cook was excellent! Would definitely stay again. We would like to thank management for such a beautiful facility! Renee & River

Lovely quiet little town. The Cheese company and The Real Pantry were great places to visit and nice people to talk with. Nosh makes great Iced Coffee and Gully Garden has great food, especially the peaches.

    Quaint rural town.

Quaint rural town. Lovely architecture to stroll around and admire. Nice places to eat. Pub meals or cafe for breakfast/brunch. 10 minutes from Tanunda and Nuriootpa so very close to all you might want to visit in the Barossa. We stayed at the Brauhaus Hotel. Very clean and friendly vibe. Good pub food. Nosh was the cafe we ate breakfast and it was very nice

Angaston is well positioned in the Barossa for wine tasting.

Angaston is well positioned in the Barossa for wine tasting. Maggie Beer's Farm is close by as is the Chocolate Factory. There is a lot of history around the town, you just need to explore to find it.

Angaston is a pretty area with Tanunda, & Nuriootpa very close by. Amenities are great with a Foodland supermarket, quaint little shops along the main street. There is a lovely farmers fresh fruit & veg store on the main drive between Angaston & Tanunda. It is about a little over an hours drive to Hahndorf & The Cedars with Hans Heydon house & gallery in the Adelaide Hills, & about 2 hours to Clare. There are lots of wineries & cellar doors close by - Pepperjack, Jacobs Creek, Peter Lehmann to name a few. Berge's U Underground cellars & tasting room is in the main street & well worth the experience. There is a hop on hop off bus which takes you around a selection of wineries $80. It leaves from the carpark behind the Visitor's Ctr in the main Street. The roads are well maintained throughout the area. Maybe a 3-4 night stay followed by 1-2 night stay in Hahndorf, followed by a 2-3 night stay in McLaren Vale.

Angaston is perfectly placed to explore the Barossa region and Eden valley. The pretty town has some great coffee shops and excellent wineries (both large and boutique) within a few minutes. The Saturday morning market at the local town hall had some fabulous produce and interesting crafts. Places highly recommended include Lamberts Wines, Vintners restaurant, The Barossa Chocolate Company and Nosh cafe.

Angaston is a lovely town in the Barossa, but not as busy as the big ones which makes it a great place to base yourself for your weekend away. We eat at Saltram's Winery, the food was delicious, exceptional in fact, we will be planning a way of eating there again. We also had dinner at Wanera Wine Bar, the food was also very good.

The friendliness and welcome. From the moment you arrive Julie the host makes you feel welcome and her attention to detail is incredible. From the fruit and chocolates in the fridge to the complementary port and games in the cupboard you realIse Julie has made it special for you and puts a lot of thought into what you have while you stay in her accommodation. The quality of workmanship is simply outstanding and the whole place is a credit to the conversion work that was done and the breakfast at Nosh Angaston was superb. We will stay again!

Bluebird Cottage at Angaston was a welcoming weekend stay. The hosts were very friendly and everything was of high quality. The abundance of breakfast provisions was wonderful. The beautiful vine covered patio proved a relaxing spot. So many rooms with lovely details. The quality bedding and firm mattresses were very comfortable. Everything was closeby, walk down Murray Street for restaurants and shops. We highly recommend this cottage for couples looking for a relaxing getaway.

Cute period cottage in the heart of Angaston, located on a quiet street but within a few minutes' walk to all amenities including bar, restaurant, grocery shop plus a few specialty shops eg Barossa cheese company. Very well equipped, you don't need to take anything with you, it's like a home from home (shampoo, washing powder, condiments, you name it!) Breakfast basket was excellent with enough food for a cooked breakfast, also a bottle of wine, port and juices.

We had a great stay at the Bauhaus Hotel, perfect place to rest our head for a night, after exploring the Barossa. In a central location in Angaston, free parking behind the property and beautiful modernised rooms. Seperate bathrooms are very clean and modern, quiet rooms despite being above the pub. Lovely street with cafes & bakeries before hitting some wine tastings. Would stay here again, highly recommended! :)

Angaston is a gorgeous town and this property is lovely. The gardens are lush, with birdlife visiting all hours of the day and night. It's well set up for a couple, and the kitchen and living room are quaint. We enjoyed sitting in the garden during the day, and by the fire at night. You're close to all of the wineries and attractions of the Barossa. I loved having a bath everyday - it was the perfect holiday.

The Breakfast Food was plentiful and the local SA Produce was lovely. Location of the Property was excellent, surrounded by character homes and a short stroll along Murray Street to the shops. The picturesque Village Green and Spring Brook was a magical setting to historical Angaston's shops including grocery, bakeries, restaurants, coffee shops, other eateries and retail shops.

The property was very spacious, studio-style but distinct areas for sleeping, lounging or basic cooking. Set within Angaston but high on a hill overlooking the town and remote from neighbours. Large and pleasant outdoor area which we were surprised to have to ourselves. Never saw the owners but e-mail contact was clear so no need to.
