Agnes Water Stays over18's, hotel in Agnes Water

Set in Agnes Water in the Queensland Region, 33 km close to Lady Musgrave Island, Agnes Water Stays over18's boasts an outdoor pool and lake and mountain views.

The hosts, Sally & Loz, were very welcoming & friendly. We loved our room - the Paperbark 5 room, which was just the right size. Our own little fridge since the communal kitchen had everything one needed. The bed was super comfy, with plenty of towels and overall a very clean room. The communal spaces are functional, inviting, clean, and well stocked - the fridge (if you have breakfast incl) is stocked with fresh food, milk, juice etc, what a treat for guests. The area itself is so calming, an idyllic pond with a large plot of well maintained land to walk around. So worth the money!! Parking was no issue and well situated within reach of the rooms. Location wise, we were a couple minutes from IGA and a Bottlemart (very important lol), 1770 only a very short drive away and we even got to make use of the only taxi in town to get to the Tavern and back.

    Nature Walks are a must.

Nature Walks are a must. Just be careful if you have young ones as some are near edges. The beaches are gorgeous. Everyone is so friendly, and it is a very dog friendly place which is amazing. A must is the Gelato shop and the LARC tour.

Agnes Water/1770 is a lovely location and not overcrowded.

Agnes Water/1770 is a lovely location and not overcrowded. It is big enough to have well stocked food shops and a choice of restaurants, but small enough feel like a real getaway destination. The day trip to Lady Musgrave Island is rather expensive ($245 pp,) but worth it. The swimming beach at Agnes water has lifeguards and is north facing, and so sheltered from the wind and the rougher seas. There are plenty of other beaches for long walks. Eurimbula national park is worth a visit if you have a 4-wheel drive. On a previous visit with two teenagers, we took bikes, which are a great way to get around. There is a bike path between Agnes Water and 1770.

What I liked the most was the totally relaxed feeling of Agnes Waters and the quality of The town beach. The area did not appear to be commercially, and finance oririentated. I met so many genuinely friendly people who had time to talk and socialise.I am finding it hard to identify any negative or unsatisfactory aspect yo my visit.

Beautiful area of the world. Lots of magnificent beaches and coves. Great bush walks. History is everywhere with the Capt. Cook affiliations. Beautiful sunsets over the shoals. Plenty of on water opportunities. Good restaurant and takeaway.

This was an amazing find! Although a bit outside of Agnes Water, it was wonderful. The rooms were fantastic, the set up - with several freestanding units - was very cool. The pool and camp kitchen for breakfast were excellent, although the kookaburra's stole our toast. Would highly recommend and would stay again!

Agnes Water/1770 was our favourite destination of our 2 week QLD vacation. SC Travellers retreat was handily located. Individual cabins had everything we wanted and the layout/setup of the entire site was "funky". Would definitely stay there again if we ever found our way back.
