The property itself is like straight from a novel like PG wodehouse or Agatha Christie. the sstaff is very welcoming. overall very good experience. the food was also perhaps the best food we had un Scotland. Highly recommend this hotel even if it seems a bit expensive initially. But once you stay here, it is wortg it.

It was like being in a monastery (the quiet was so peaceful) and yet you expected the Queen to come and have tea with you. Rooms were beautiful, grounds impeccable, food wonderful. Staff great. We read in the library and after dinner played Clue in the Lounge! WOW! Couldn't have been more perfect! WELL DONE!

The lodge was spacious and had everything you needed for your stay and the welcome basket and milk was a fantastic touch for self catering meant you could have a cuppa on arrival. The room was lovely and comfortable and although it is close to the main road it is a very quiet and peaceful place to stay. Lovely hosts and excellent breakfast.
