Would have preferred a little more chicken maybe for those that don't eat beef or pork.

There is nothing negative to say about our stay in Wilderness, other than I wish it could have been for longer! Our accomadation at Tranquil Shores, was simply perfect. Our host was so gracious and generous with advise for local activities and attractions. The room we stayed in was lovely and very tastefully decorated.
Honestly this was such a lovely place to spend some time in.

The beaches and views from the top of Hoekwil or Map of Africa are too beautiful. The nature walks and general magical feeling of the place makes it an ideal holiday destination. It is close to the large town of George and Knysna with markets available on Saturdays,
You would need a car to get around Wilderness.

One of the most stunning (and our favourite) beaches in the World.
Plenty of good restaurants - great value.
Loved the view from para gliding site but Map of Africa did not meet expectations.
Very restful / having had busy 3 weeks beforehand.
Restaurants - Las salinas; girls 👧 n the square; joplins steak house; pommodoro - all excellent and good value. Las S was our favourite; walking distance; good food and excellent service.

We stayed three nights in Wilderness and that was probably the perfect length of stay. It's a small town, but a very beautiful location. The long beach is nice, if you like that sort of thing. However, exploring the lagoon on an 'eco-cruise' is a 'must' and probably the most enjoyable adventure on our three-week stay in South Africa. Wilderness is also blessed with some good restaurants, 'The Girls On The Square' deserves an accolade, but 'Serendipity' is in a league of its own - one of the best restaurants I've visited anywhere in the world.

This is an amazingly clean and beautiful property.
This is an amazingly clean and beautiful property. It has a lovely pool with sunbeds and seating area to rear of property and the front of the property overlooks the most stunning beach. Little extras in the room make it absolutely fabulous. The hosts are extremely welcoming and friendly as is the family dog Duke. Would highly recommend.
Lovely location..In walking distance of lagoon, beach, supermarket, market and restaurants.
Breakfasts were delicious and great value.
Helpful and friendly staff.
We infmd staff about noisy children running through the hallways and banging doors until late at night and the manager on duty did not hesitate to move us to a much quieter part of the hotel immediately. We appreciated this very very much.
Beautiful location, a really lovely beach house - extremely comfy bed, a little sea view. Lincy was absolutely lovely and so helpful during our stay. Would definitely stay again. Well placed for walking 5-10 minutes to restaurants, map of Africa viewpoint, various walking trails and of course the beach is right on the doorstep and Wilderness beach is BEAUTIFUL.
Sea Paradise was perfect! The view and the sound of the ocean was absolutely mesmerising! There is nothing quite like falling asleep to the sound of the ocean! A few steps out the door and you're right on the beach! A really beautiful getaway and a really good breakfast!
We have no words to describe how happy we were for 2 nights at this marvelous hotel. It is a home with the highest hotel standards you could imagine. Elsabe (the owner) made every moment our stay comfortable and pleasurable.
The restaurant is the best in SA.
This was our second time staying here and it was as good this year as it was last year. We love the location, just far enough away from the freeway to be wonderfully quiet but also close enough to make Sedgefield and Wilderness only a few minutes away.
Well appointed modern guesthouse located right on the beach at Wilderness with stunning sea views. Sarie, the manager, is charming and saw to our every need. We cannot rate Escape to the Beach too highly and are already planning our next visit!
I just love this hotel. The staff is very friendly and because I always stay at that hotel when I'm in Wilderness I feel like part of the family. I cannot fault the hotel on anything. And of course the location is spectacular.
Nice square in Wilderness. Hotel is actually located above a good restaurant. Room was the most spacious I had in 3 weeks SA. Excellent bathroom with rainshower. Huge balcony, very safe environment to walk around.
While it is across the street from the beach, it is a very unbusy road. It is a nice distance outside of Wilderness. Still a few minutes drive, but feels quite remote. The beach and bluffs are amazing.
Wonderful breakfast and probably one of the nicest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Everything was clean, top quality and the location on the beach could not have been any better. I can’t wait to come back!
The view, the welcome, the breakfast, the bed. Very relaxing to hear the waves just outside the door. Would have stayed longer but we were travelling through the garden route.
