The view is incredible! The staff were super friendly and helpful, and it was easy to check in and out. The place has an older feel with unique antique furniture. The common room has board games for anyone to use. We spent the evening with a bottle of wine and Trivial Pursuit on the comfortable deck.

Sight seeing...the Hole in the Wall and the Baby Hole in the Wall! The roads to the place need speedy attention! They are just bad to be used by people who are supposed to be bringing economic opportunities to the connunities there. The Eastern Cape government must act differently and disappoint us by constructing that road.

The drive was okay regardless of the fish ponds on the road (potholes) that slacked us down. The sunset was beautiful with the mountain views and the weather was beautiful too. We had difficulties with our GPS but with the help of the local residents who were very friendly, we managed to get there safely. The hotel has it's own Restaurant and another Restaurant facing the beach for a more relaxed afternoon. We booked a one night stay and regretted it the following day as we wished we could have stayed longer, next time we need the entire weekend!! Very friendly staff, delicious seafood buffet we had on the the evening of arrival and enjoyed the breakfast too!

Beautiful place, beautiful views, sweet people all around.
Beautiful place, beautiful views, sweet people all around. Great and safe accommodation.
Only concern would be driving in and out of coffee bay, 30kms before you reach Coffee bay the road is damaged, loads of potholes but if your prepared for a chilled ride (not a fast ride) then you will have no problem - enjoy the scenery on your way!

We were self catering. The town is full of litter.
We were self catering. The town is full of litter. The last 40 kms to Coffee Bay are FULL of potholes. There are no shops for fresh produce have to travel 20 kms back over the potholes!!!! Take ALL your supplies you may need.
The stay was absolutely fabulous. First of all, Michelle was very helpful as she texted us best options to travel to Coffee Bay, and offered a dinner option. Dinner was delicious. The view is incredibly beautiful and it is definitely worth waking up early and seeing the sunrise, then having an early walk. The room is clean and comfortable, with warm blankets for chilly nights. It is a nice place to relax, have a cup of coffee in the common area and enjoy the view.
A beautifully appointed upmarket unit. (Coffee machine, Netflix, stunning kitchen) We had excellent correspondence with the host who checked in on us regularly. Loved the fact that each room had it's own bathroom. Such a pity the weather wasn't great as we didn't get to fully enjoy the stunning outside sitting area. This must be the best accommodation in Coffee Bay. Very highly recommended.
Rustic accommodation but very comfortable. Hosts are ever helpful, chilled atmosphere draws you into the Coffee Bay vibe. Potholes are bad on latter half of road from N2 but worth the effort even in a non-SUV provided you're willing to take it slow - suggest one allow 2hrs daylight driving time for this section to be on the cautious side
I liked that it had a gate opening to the beach and I loved the early morning jog along the beach. I loved the walk along the various beaches. The locals who offer tour guide services, could be formalised by the hotel. Because my tour guide, named Shane was exceptional in taking us to the various places and taking pictures.
The attention given to us was of high standard. The place was clean, safe and near the beach. No words could describe the good time we had at Coffee Bay Lodge. Everything was extremely excellent, even way better than the expensive hotels I used to go to. I would HIGHLY recommend.🙌🏼🤞🏼❤️
The accomadation was meant for one night. Its a butchelor flat. The kitchen is very small and only have cutlery to eat with. Its not equipt to prepare a meal. Place was durty. Roof leaked. Coffee bay was beautiful. This accomadation needs an upgrade

Oooh what a beautiful place to be at Coffee Bay. The host was warm and welcoming and made sure our stay was pleasant. She recommended the restaurant and the tour guide which was the best part of the adventure.
Coram Deo is the best place to be, the views are breath taking
Nice and spacious for our family of 10. Lovely large farmstyle table inside and on front porch.
Big outside porch with a gated little picked fence.
Ample fridge freezer space, large chest freezer.
Kids enjoyed pool and a hike to view the Hole in the wall
Very tranquil
We enjoyed the unspoiled sea view, as well as the Coffee Bay Drum band which came to the Guesthouse after dinner. It was a nice experience and just to be part of the cultural music. I also tried Crayfish for the first time which was very nice.
Lindie was a fantastic host, delicious dinners and breakfasts, full of interesting details of what is going on in Coffee Bay, to the great advice of sites to see. Highlight of my trip around the Eastern Cape!
A must place to stay at coffee bay!
Staff were extremely helpful during our stay. Hotel organises daily trips to sign up for which were fantastic, loved everything about our stay.
The cottages, is very comfortable, very modern, creatively decorated, spacious. When if think of Coffee Bay, I think Cottages 20!! I will go back just to visit there again!!
