It met my needs. It was clean, peaceful, and comfortable enough. I slept like a baby. The staff was friendly and serviceminded. Didn't bother ME at all, being so close to I-80.. One of the better of the Motel 6's I've stayed at in a very long time. There is a BK and a McD close by.
Would return anyday.

The staff tried to help me with this erroneous date that pricelines website booked my stay for. I wanted to stay Aug 29th and somehow priceline's website booked the hotel for 12 days later!?????? Now, staff said they could not rebook it because it was booked third party. So i called both priceline and booking.com and confirmed that it was booking.com that beeded to either refund the stay OR rebook the stay. Why im still upset at staff at Sheraton is that they actually SHOULD have the power to refund me or rebook. I think it speaks terribly for their system that they couldn't do that simple thing, given booking.com will still be paying them for the stay that (absurd as it is) was "non refundable". Again, I booked the stay for Aug 29th. Priceline's website changed that date against my will.

Location was nice, but don't stay until construction around the pond/lake is done. All day there was construction noise. Place isn't very clean. Bed was hard and uncomfortable. We've stayed at other Resudence Inn that were much nicer.

Des Moines was great, the Motel 6 was terrible.
Des Moines was great, the Motel 6 was terrible. Worst motel stay EVER! From the minute we walked into the smell of damp cigerette smoke it just got worse. Our bathroom sink faucet was broke, the toilet seat had chips in it which looked like someone had puked on it.. Our bed sheets had a nasty stain on it, forcing us to lay on top of the bed, and notice I said lay, not sleep as sleep didn't happen. It was a misreable night which lead to a sleep deprived misreable day for us. Our stay at Motel 6 ruined our vacation and I won't forget this.

I enjoyed staying in West Des Moines.
I enjoyed staying in West Des Moines. The hotel location is easy to find right off of the interstate. It allowed me to jump on the interstate and head to Des Moines to attend events at HyVee Hall and Wells Fargo Arena. I even ran early in the morning outside and was able to enjoy the sunrise.

There was no breakfast after being advertised.
There was no breakfast after being advertised. Only one towel and one washcloth in a room with two people. Room and hallways smelled strongly of smoke and the property was supposed to be smoke free. Was awakened before 7 am by landscapers and loud equipment outside room. When checking in, a sign said mask required but the quest in front of us had no mask and wasn't asked to put one on.

We walked around the Arboretum for a walk, went to the zoo which was very nice. It was a rainy day so quite a few things at the zoo were closed yet we had a good time. We went to play miniature golf ( close to the zoo) and that was very fun.

We visited the Capitol and had a wonderful tour. We also walked downtown on the walk way. Our main interest was Winterset to see the bridges and Drury West was perfect.
We did not eat out as Drury has a fab breakfast and kickback dinner with drinks

The breakfast was great!!! I love Bisquets & gravy!!! Not many places have them!
The hotel was right next to a Stake & Shake!!! One of my favorite places to eat... 1 was there 2x in my 3 days stay! Locations was super... 5 mins or less to my meeting location!
Thanks!!! I'll stay there again, when I am there again!
The breakfast was very good. Lots of options and everything I had was good.
I the room was very updated and clean and comfortable. Stayed at a Hilton in St.Louis the night before. This Hyatt was way better. What a hotel should be.
Drury, they just have their act together.
Hiring the right staff, and supplying the right facilities to guard their small hotel feeling as a chain hotel.
Well done!
