The staff was PHENOMENAL. They went out of their way. The restaurant was closed for a special event one night we were there, and someone (maybe the manager?) still found a way to cook chicken nuggets for my 5-year-old and delivered them personally to our room. The staff working the breakfast buffet were amazingly kind as well.

The hotel staff were very helpful in every way. The accommodations were wonderful. There was only one problem. Because of the winter storm, the sidewalks were not cleared enough for safety. Timing of the storm was likely the problem. Otherwise we were very pleased with our stay.

Rude hotel staff. Barley spoke to us.
Rude hotel staff. Barley spoke to us. Man had a bad attitude. Room reeked like cigar. Rooms and hallways are dirty and disgusting. It looks like all they do is make the bed and restock toilet paper. Front desk staff was unprofessional and speaking about another guest when I came to the desk. I stood there dor a minute looking at them and listening before I was greeted. Unfriendly staff.

I had the best dining experience at Carson's Barbecue and Grill. Great food and place to eat! I had taken a tour of the city, I was amazed by the parks, they are so beautiful and well kept. The city is very clean, and I love the architecture, the culture, the people. I really enjoyed my stays at Milwaukee. Also, getting around the city was really easy, you can walk to everything, I had the best time at the Gotham museum. This is the place I definitely want to retire. I am thinking about returning this winter.

In Milwaukee, people are generally friendly, businesses professional and pleasant (though panhandlers seem to hang outside the parking lot by the Hyatt in the morning, between 6 and 7 a.m.!).
Really enjoyed DOC's Commerce Smokehouse had excellent brisket, pulled pork, burnt ends, chicken pot pie soup, collard greens, broccoli salad, and Bacardi baked beans. Don't eat alone - each meal can easily serve two!
Breakfast a George Webb is not a health food affair, but I love that they will a coffee thermos to go without raising an eyebrow.
King and I has a respectable offering of traditional Thai dishes. The tom kha soup was exceptional, though the panang curry was so salty I had to thin it out with more rice than usual to enjoy it. Authentic atmosphere.
I've had to work at two conventions over this summer at the Baird (formerly Wisconsin) Center this summer and the construction is a pain, but the venue is decent.

Didn't like much, they actually charged my card upon check in, the outside of Bldg needs to be painted, lobby need updating and clean. Rooms all linen, towels and curtains was dirty and stained, carpet need to be replaced, fridge had fowl smell.
The hotel itself is very nice but you have to understand that this is not located in the “heart” of Downtown Milwaukee. It is about 10 mins or so from there although accessible via their free shuttle service (who’s drivers BTW, are great!). Not having their restaurant or bar open yet still due to COVID restrictions is kind of a pain in the neck as well as is not having an honor bar (again supposedly COVID driven). Staff was great and quite helpful given the restrictions they are working with.
Overall this hotel is a good solution to visit Milwaukee: pretty decent value for money and close to Downtown. The room and the restroom are spacious, with modern furniture that is a bit different from many other hotels! The bad was a bit too soft for me. Kind and friendly staff at the reception. Contrary to what I was expecting from other reviews, the parking lot was marked pretty clearly, so I think they worked to fix this issue.
Emma, the desk clerk was outstanding. After a rather unrestful first night, Emma moved us to the 4th floor, where we didn't have to listen to the "elephant" in the room above us. Nice hotel--built on the cheap--trussed floors which let the sound from the room above make for an unpleasant stay. Rent a room on the 4th/top floor. Then the place is great.
Exercise room was very nice with good equipment.
We absolutely loved this property! Our room was awesome! We loved the exposed brick, large windows, comfy beds, large beautiful bathroom and fully stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, and location. It was walking distance to many cool shops and pubs/restaurants, and a short drive to downtown. Management was very helpful and quick to respond to questions. It made our trip to Milwaukee very enjoyable.
Perfect Location in Downtown Milwaukee. To the Wisconsin Center it's just a five minute walk. There are numerous bars and restaurants near the hotel, also a Walgreens store, the Public Museum and the really nice River Walk.
The breakfast offers hot meals (eggs, bacon) and bagels, toast and delicious waffles. The room was large, clean and well equipped.
It was the perfect hotel, not inside the city but not far away from it either, hotel was quite clean and most everybody there was there for the baseball game and stayed at that hotel, staff was super helpful with a stubborn room key, the price for the room was the best around in the best area and will be booking again when I travel back that way
Would give 7, but giving extra point to counter all negative reviews.
This was actually better than I expected. It looks like they did refurb the property so apart from metal bed frame room was in good condition.
Not sure about the neighborhood, I did use free transfer in out of station and into downtown
All in all pleasant stay
Very well located hotel. Walking distance to the lake, river and third ward. Lovely art deco period building and common areas. Rooms are newly refurbished and contain full kitchenettes. Comfortable beds. Staff friendly and will make recommendations for your visit.
The apartment was in a great area with everything I needed close by, shopping, great restaurants, close to downtown milwaukee with everything great to offer, the apartment was very clean and comfortable also offering a outdoor patio porch and a washer and dryer
Definitely a nice hotel for the money. Cheap compared to a lot of others in the area. Very nice pool area if you have younger kids. Bed was very comfortable, room was spacious, staff was friendly. Absolutely no major complaints.
An older style hotel in a heritage building in downtown Milwaukee. The rooms however, were done to suit modern needs. Great bed, and plenty of hot water and bath towels. Every staff member was cordial, informative and polite.
Gorgeous building with a cool retro vibe. The staff is amazing. The best front desk welcome I have ever received. Down to Earth nice people! Amazing location near the lake, downtown, third ward, and tons of great restaurants.
Absolutely fabulous hotel. Perfect location to walk everywhere, Deer District, Third Ward, downtown area and Lake Michigan. Service was terrific, bar always hopping and artwork incredible. Loved my stay!
