Great location. Extremely quiet and a lovely view over the vineyard to the woods beyond.
We picked up our keys from a keybox as we arrived quite late, but the lady at checkout in the morning was very friendly and helpful, advising on a good coffee shop for breakfast and local places to visit.

Another wonderful stay at Johnson's Beach Cabins. It's my favourite place on Russian River. The cabin had everything that I needed. Really comfortable bed and pillows, lots of fresh towels and hot water in the bathroom. Chris the host, is very welcoming and friendly. I'm looking forward to my next trip to Johnson's !

Guerneville is a quaint small town surrounded by beautiful nature. It has plenty of restaurants, bars, art galleries, antique stores, and interesting small shops. It is also close to the ocean and near near other small and interesting towns.

Meh….whatever beaches were accessible were closed and hard to find. The Anderson redwood grove is beautiful but not dog friendly for trail hiking. The “tourist info” people didn't even know where to send us for finding a beach….”the next town over maybe?” was their response.

The location, the cleanliness of the rooms, the grounds, How Peaceful it is and one thing I forgot to mention on my review...All the trimmings & Goodies were supplied to roast Smores in the BBQ pit with the oak fire they set up What a Wonderful Treat. It was 4th of July & we had to travel from Humboldt to SF for my 1st Post Op visit after Major surgery & needed to stay overnight due to the long long drive. How pleasant & relaxing it was & to roast marshmallows making Smores was something I haven't done in YEARS . Thoroughly Enjoyed!

Guerneville is a hodge podge of stores, restaurants and other businesses. They do the best with what they've got. Prices have gone up, real estate is soaring, but the growth of the town remains fairly stagnant. It's still a beautiful place surrounded by redwoods with the river close by. There's a lot of trash, unkept houses and people barely getting by. I wish Sonoma would spend more resources on maintaining the streets, etc. We still have many favorite spots to go to all the way out to Duncans Mills.

Guerneville is a wonderful vacation town.
Guerneville is a wonderful vacation town. During this COVID time I did understandably find a LOT of issues with restaurants not being open when they said they would be on the websites. Several times I called restaurants that were actually open but nobody would pick up the phone. Some lack of organization makes sense given Covid, but if you are not flexible and patient might be best to stay away until full reopening.
*Protip - there are two foodtrucks in Guerneville serving Mexican food, the one in the Safeway parking lot & La Fogata which is in the parking lot next to Stumptown brewery. (after 3:00 I believe) They are both very good with good prices and friendly staff. Highly recommend, especially now with all the restaurant confusion.
+ great location in center of Guerneville, very easy to walk around.
+ room was picture accurate, very comfortable, with a bedroom space and a reading space.
+ all well equipped with small fridge, AC perfectly working, windows would open if needed with protection against bugs and mosquitos. Bed was very comfortable.
+ bathroom working perfectly, including soaps and other care products provided.
+ very reliable and fast wifi.
+ great nature environment, great view.
The room was airy, clean and full of natural light. The view of the vineyard was spectacular, and the view of the stars from the balcony was just as good. The location was super close to downtown Guerneville which allowed us to walk to restaurants, bars and shops. The individual who checked us in did so remotely, however they were helpful and pleasant. We really enjoyed our stay and looking forward to finding an excuse to stay there again in the near future.
the location is everything with this hotel. comfort not so much. the pillows were small squares that had little padding which made it difficult to get a good nights sleep. the pool and ambiance are nice (although the deck and concrete look outdated). nice roses and plants around, but, almost too much to the point where it looks a little junky. staff was friendly and the cabins are nicely set up with a good shower, fridge and microwave.
Immersed by nature, the hotel provided so many accommodations to our stay such as a gas fire place, kitchenware (corkscrew), and a bathtub big enough for two! At night all you could hear was toads and rain, which was a nice change of pace since we’re from LA. The staff was super friendly and willing to help. Can’t wait to see this place in the summer!
Food excellent. They happily offered amazing glutten free breakfast for me. Fresh eggs! Fresh squeezed juice from fruit on site.
Bed and linens were really comfortable.
Staff excellent. We love the grounds. We will be back, hopefully, regularly.
Location good. Literally right next to Korbel.
Pet friendly! We bought our cats and it was great.
Nice place, good value, clean. Dog friendly. Noise from road not an issue. Washer and dryer a plus. Basic breakfast sandwiches, fruit, coffee, etc were good. Hope they keep up on the building maintenance. Not much within walking distance (except Stumptown brewery across the street), but Guerneville proper is about a mile west down the road.
What a nice hotel, reasonable priced for the region, very friendly staff, good 'basic' breakfast (exactly what I needed, hard boiled eggs, yoghurt, fruit), very helpful staff for idea of hikes in the region, a nice fireplace in room, and generally excellent experience.
The location in Guerneville is fantastic. It's near public beaches, wineries and other local attractions. I booked a massage and the massuesse was great. The lobby was attractive and it would be great if the rest of the hotel were updated similarly to the lobby.
It is located in beautiful Sonoma County. We had a very special outdoor dinner there. The breakfast was also delicious! The bed was very comfortable. The rooms are a mix of old and new items, not a standard hotel layout.
Very nice breakfast, cute cabins and good location. Surprisingly quiet for it's location. First visit to Guerneville, the little town wasn't quite what we expected and felt kinda sad.
