It's a convenient place to stay when I have a flight from SeaTac. I like the quiet town there. I haven't explored much but I found a nice harbor and a park with a trail near by. I'll try to stay longer to enjoy the town next time.

Des Moines is excellently located, on a beautiful waterfront offering a wonderful view of the bay, along major thoroughfares to Seattle and/or the airport.
It's way quieter than those communities along the highway and driving the up-and-down streets is quite a trip in itself.

The front desk girl, Alexa, was great!
The front desk girl, Alexa, was great! The room was disgusting and filthy. We had to change room’s because of the partying next to us. The room we moved to reeked of urine! The comforter had cigarette burns all over. The bathroom was filthy.

Summers have Farmers Market every Saturday at Marina.
Two main streets moderate traffic during week with some congestion on weekends..
"drive up coffee shop" sandwiches, pastry, expresso
"Aunt Irene's"-- limited seating inside.
Short distance to Seatac..

We picked this place between after conference in Seattle...
We picked this place between after conference in Seattle downtown, we'd tour Mt. Rainier the next day and then fly back the day after. This place is close to highway but not much congested to the destinations of ours. The waterside is beautiful but appeared under-developed, which may be good for the residents living by the waterside.
Homey, independently owned, budget-friendly hotel in a quiet location. Close enough to SeaTac to be very convenient (at least for those with a car- I believe they run a shuttle van, but we didn't use it so can't really offer an opinion). Rooms are spacious and have everything you need, as long as you don't *need* luxurious fluffy towels and dozens of decorative throw pillows. Staff are wonderful, very accommodating and friendly.
The house was located near family we were visiting in Des Moines for a wedding. It was close to the Sea-Tac airport. Also a 40 minute drive into Seattle to DJ sightseeing.
House was updated and well appointed with linens and a well stocked kitchen for those who like to cook. There are many shops and restaurants all within walking distance including the marina.
This is only a 10 - 15 minute ride from the airport.
The room has a refrigerator, microwave, and a separate sink by these appliances which is very comfortable. There is also a sink in the washroom.
The location is great -- only a few minutes walk to the pier and walk along Des Moines Creek.
They have washing machines and a small gym.
Nice breakfast
Lovely property within a short walk of the Des Moines marina and trails and views of the islands. It's also only 3 miles from the Seattle light rail park and ride car park at Angle Lake (car park free all day round trip ticket $6 per person at time of review) . Our hostess was lovely. Breakfast is continental style. Car parking on site.
Room had a sitting room with a pull out bed and a desk by the window.
LOCATION is definitely a great thing going for Marina Inn. It is so close to wonderful eating places and a grocery store across the street!
The front desk (especially CJ) was so helpful and gracious working with me on our ever changing schedule.
i have 25 years of staying in hotels and motels for work. this is the worst i have ever stayed in. one towel and one washrag..
no cups glasses. we had two rooms. both bad. third world motel
Excellent location, 15 minutes driving from SEA-TAC and at walking distance from dining options facing the marina of Des Moines. Very clean. Free parking on site. Quick check-in/out.
There are good and bad things about this hotel. Good is the price if you book in advance very cheap just to sleep the night. That's where all the good stuff ended. )))
There were squatters ( literally) in the first room we were given. Anyone who is used to staying in any kind of standard hotel would not want to stay here.
