Great town, very active, it would be really nice to paddle board there, go hiking and I went to the best fly fishing shop I've ever seen at Old Mill (https://www.oldmilldistrict.com/shops/confluence-fly-shop/). Had a couple of beers at Confluence fly shop. Pizza at Pinky G's (https://pinkygs.com/) was fantastic.

We were there on the first Friday of the month and the downtown area was "alive." Galleries and shops were open late. Lot of places to eat. We ate at the Pine Tavern, and it was very good. Lot happening in the surrounding areas for outdoor adventure.

The whole city was clean and organised.
Very few old vacant plots throughout making it a city of quality.
The "old town' with its shops and good quality food outlets, history information , river frontage and walks were an unexpected series of highlights for our restful day.

I loved how friendly the drivers are, all the food truck pods, and fun outdoor spaces. So many gorgeous trails to explore and the shopping at the Mill District. So fun to see an operational Blockbuster store and a Barnes and Noble store.
Beautiful river front and public parks.

So much to do in and around Bend.
So much to do in and around Bend. If you are nature lover, you can easily spend 3-4 days here or even more.
The area is rapidly expanding... expect traffic and impatient / borderline rude drivers!
We liked and enjoyed areas around Bend more than Bend itself.

I was a participant in the Arts Festival so my experience was skewed.
Bend is a lovely, overcrowded town. It has some wonderful neighborhoods, mostly the older ones are best. Bend is very expensive. Lodging was the highest of any city I've worked in. We had a hard time finding seating in downtown restaurants and the prices were higher than other comparable cities. Drivers near where I was for the festival were impatient and aggressive.
Bend is nice, but it suffers from the success of aggressive advertising that has worked, perhaps, too well.
We loved EVERYTHING about this hotel! The staff were very friendly and helpful, and we were greeted with a complimentary cold beer upon check-in. The room was HUGE and included a separate bedroom, living room, dining table, murphy bed and large patio. It's located in a very beautiful and peaceful area on the river, surrounded by trees. There is a cool brewery located across the street, and the hotel it is in walking distance to Hayden Holmes Amphitheater. We would 100% stay here again.
I really liked the location - tucked away at the edge of downtown, but still really walkable to nearby restaurants and shopping. Close to the river. The room itself was superior to any of the other properties I've stayed at in Bend. REAL dishes and cutlery, a full sized kitchen, the sliding doors, the decor - all super upgraded. And comfortable! The couch was super comfy and the bed was the best I've slept in for business travel.
The room was nice and clean!
The pool was heated and very pleasant.
The front desk person let us check in 1h early at no extra cost, while we had to pay additional $10/hour at other hotels near by. So thumbs up for their willingness and flexibility!
There was a permanent food truck on the premisses.
The hotel is 5-6 car minutes away from downtown Bend and feasible by bike.
while not was an older property it was very clean - well lit and had an exceptional convenient location. front desk staff were helpful and personable. while we did not eat the breakfast it’s smelled and looked great - we just didn’t have time to enjoy it for ourselves. would definitely stay again - especially with sky-high hotel rates in bend during the summer season.
We were pleasantly surprised at the size of the room. It is a quaint hotel with really nice owners. Free parking, nice to have kitchen, spa tub, comfortable bed and big room. It was a fair price for the area. The pool looked inviting but we did not use it. An added perk is the food truck with delicious homemade Indian cuisine.
The Residence Inn provided free breakfast from 7:00am - 9:30am (The staff shuts down the breakfast area immediately at 9:30am). The location of the hotel was in a quiet part of Bend, but you are not too far from anything. I definitely wouldn't mind staying at the Residence Inn again during my next stay in Bend.
The staff was friendly, room was clean and decorated very cute. Bed was AMAZING! Pool was clean and the firepit and surrounding area was very cute and seemed like a cool place to hang out. Was only there for one night passing through but would definitely stay there again if I am ever in Bend again.
Spacious and stylish room with fireplace, welcome drink and friendly staff. Breakfast was very tasty with healthy options and all foods served in reusable containers! What a contrast with many US hotels. Very nice inn in quiet location surrounded by pines and with great river views.
My go-to place to stay in Bend. Cheap price without being a cheap place. Six block walk from downtown. Reasonably quiet: it's tucked in away from the main street. Staff is always great. I liked this room because it had an awesome bathtub, but not all rooms do.
It was clean and comfortable. It is very close to the cute downtown Bend area and the river., just 5 min away. Non smoking rooms are in their own building and with locked entrance to the building, it feels safer than the standard motel rooms in front.
Great spacious room comfortable bed .Big TV. Clean and well equipped. coffeemachine.
Lobby lovely with free coffee and tea. friendly staff. Swimming pool a bonus with plenty towels.
Definitely recommend this hotel in bend
excellent breakfast, very new and attractive facility, good microwavable meals. very quiet room, comfortable bed, pets being allowed very attractive without hassles, space around hotel convenient for exercising pets
Hotel is in quiet area. Very clean and staff very friendly. The breakfast person was helpful in providing some "road friendly" items. With Covid the usual breakfast was not available but they did their best.
The location is perfect for our stay in Bend to visit relatives. The breakfast is pretty good as far as hotels breakfasts go. It's nice that there is coffee, cookies, and juice available 24/7
The only thing that was pleasant about the property was the location near downtown Bend. The location is just a few short minutes from downtown and easily accessible from major freeways.
