Excellent location for those attending Adams State University labs; it is only a 5-minute drive from campus. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff was extremely responsive. I will stay there again!

Alamosa is a cute little town - our stay at the "Cozy Colorado Retreat" was super comfortable for us & our 4-legged friends. Alamosa was centrally located to enjoy the Great sand dunes and was only an hours drive to El Sanctuario Chimayo, Joyful Journeys Hot Springs, & to snowmobiling in Red River, NM. Lots of great things to see & the scenery is gorgeous!

Alamosa seems to be a working class dominated town, and a bit past its prime. Most of the nature destinations (Great Sand Dunes, national forests) are a ways off, although not far by Colorado standards. While it has a small college (Adams State University) it seems that it doesn't influence the town strongly. I guess I'm just not a big fan of Alamosa.

Really delicious. I wish we would have had more time to explore more of Alamosa. We were just passing through on a trip but very glad we stopped.

We attended the Sandhill Crane Festival in Monte Vista but chose to stay in Alamosa because hotel rates were less expensive than Monte Vista. Alamosa and the surrounding areas offer fantastic views of snow-capped mountains. Both the Alamosa and Monte Vista Wildlife Refuges offer excellent opportunities to observe and photograph wildlife. There are many outdoor activities available to those who love to drive or hike and explore.

My family and I went to the Colorado Gators farm.
My family and I went to the Colorado Gators farm. It was a blast very family friendly, which is great since I have a 3-year-old and 10-year-old sons. Even my 20-year-old so had a lot of fun. It was my first time being to the farm, great staff and atmosphere.
We ate at Chili's our first night there and the service was really fast and friendly staff.
It's really easy getting around Alamosa. My older son lives, he's going to college at Adam State University.
I would only avoid the motel we stayed at for our visit.
The people working the front desk were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room was big, clean and comfortable like all Hampton Inns, which is why I seek Hampton Inns on my travels. I also appreciated that the bathroom contained environmentally friendly refillable bottles of shampoo and soap instead of throw-away single-use products.
With prices being what they are in the USA these days, we can't really expect a whole lot. It is the Rodeway in Alamosa. It is exactly how you think it will be. The guy running the front desk is a cool dude. Rooms are okay if you are just spending a night. Rooms were clean enough but overall the property is in pretty rough shape.
Breakfast was better than expected--appreciated the extra effort when waffles were made for us. The staff was very friendly, and the hotel was very clean and quiet. It was nice to have hot water and coffee available all the time. Also appreciated having a kitchen sink, microwave and refrigerator.
This is my go-to hotel in Alamosa. I've been staying here a couple of times each year for several years, and it continues to get high marks from me. Comfortable and well maintained. Good beds, nice furniture, good shower, and quiet. Good breakfast- you get a voucher for the cafe on site.
Vicino ad Alamosa, ottimo se sì vuole visitare il Great Sand Dunes National Park. The host is very welcoming and the room is super comfortable. We have really appreciated the possibility to have a sauna after a long day trip. Special mention to Foxy and Frosty, very nice dogs.
Breakfast was normal for a hotel breakfast. I am gluten-free, so I liked that they actually had gluten-free bagels on one of the mornings. They ran out & didn't get more for the second morning. We were there for the Cumbres & Toltec train ride, so the location was very good.
We had a great stay at Riverside. Irene, who checked us in, was incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was super clean and the bed was comfortable. It was walkable to numerous bars and restaurants in Alamosa, as well.
The location was nice on our trip across country and the price was one of the better ones in town especially for a last minute booking. This looks like it could be a good hotel. And the sheets were clean.
Exceptionally friendly staff, clean and well-maintained property, and nice breakfast to get us on the way. If we're in the area again, we'll definitely choose this hotel.
A hot breakfast was included with the room. We were given vouchers which we could use at the front restaurant. Hotel was walking distance from town and restaurants.
This place was clear and an excellent value. It was clear the owners and staff of thins hotel were working hard to promote their guest have a nice (no frills) stay.
