Wonderful place to visit with an excellent museum and a wonderful downtown area featuring great restaurants, cute shops, and an interesting artist studio area. Highly recommend dining at 128 Pecan-- what an incredible restaurant, and the King Museum featured one of the better traveling exhibitions I've ever experienced during our stay. One of my very favorite places to stop when going through Abingdon is the Southwest Virginia Cultural Center and Marketplace: make it a go-to destination for gift shopping and supporting local Virginia artists. I've found so many beautiful things there!

There are some very beautiful areas around Abingdon Virginia. The Martha Washington Inn is right up the street, and a very historic place to visit. There is also the Cave House where Daniel Boone stayed at one point, and I am CONVINCED is haunted. There is a tavern that has been in business and open since the late 1700s in downtown as well. Not to mention the Barter theater, which anyone who knows anything about drama would love to visit.

The space was excellent, staff was helpful and friendly and the shower, without a tub, was outstanding. I hate trying to climb into a tub to take a shower. Being a senior citizen, this is very important to me. Sliding doors were perfect. Thank you.

Abingdon is a quaint Boutique town. The scenery is beautiful. There are so many activities within Abingdon itself and the surrounding town. They have fabulous restaurants and shops. Our favorite is the twice weekly farmers market offering the best local produce and finest hand-crafted merchandise!!

Not only great places in town to visit but a great jumping off point for points of interest in the area. Both stays (summer and fall) were initiated by tickets to shows at the Lincoln Theatre and we added walking and biking the Virginia Creeper Trail as a great outdoor activity. We plan to revisit in the future and explore other outdoor activities.
As many other reviewers have mentioned, the breakfast was above average for a hotel chain. I particularly appreciated the dairy-free milk options and whole-grain muffins. The beds were comfortable and the location was quiet despite being at capacity. We stayed on the first color with our pup and small children and they slept without disturbance. There is a Dominos basically in the parking lot which made it much easier after a long day of driving and a late check-in.
The hotel is a little older, but was clean and totally met our needs. The pool stays open until midnight so that was a huge bonus for families with young kids that get in a little later than we expected. The staff was friendly and very uncommon at all. Breakfast was great, location was great, nice and quiet.
The breakfast staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was varied and fresh.
the Front desk was always helpful and we got whatever we needed quickly. the hotel is also very quiet even though it is located in a setting with a lot of commerce.
The room was very spacious and the owner very helpful. Beautiful location and close to anything you'd want to do in Abingdon. Comfortable beds, roomy bathroom, nice TV. Plenty of room to dance if you wanted.
The location was excellent, in terms of ease of access to the rest of Abingdon. There wasn't much of a view from my room, but that was more than compensated for by the amenities and the quality of staffing.
Breakfast was not great, nothing really you choice. Our last stay at this hotel a few years ago seemed a like better. We thought with the renovation that things would have been a lot nicer.
INCREDIBLY CLEAN HOTEL, GREAT BREAKFAST AND VERY HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY STAFF. WE HAD A GREAT STAY AT THIS HOTEL AND E WILL SAVE IT SO WE CAN STAY ANYTIME WE DRIVE NORTH TO VISIT FAMILY!!!
Room was spacious, bed was comfortable and bathroom clean. Cookies at the front desk are a nice added touch. Breakfast had many options. Location was close to Abingdon activities.
I stayed 3 nights and the priced was $100 less than other hotels in the area. The place is a quiet and decent with only minor issues that probably don’t bother most people.
Best stay at a hotel EVER! We wanted to take the bed with us and hated to leave! Housekeeping staff and front desk very friendly! We will be back soon!
