The breakfast was excellent.
The night receptionist kindly made me a hot drink at 0300 because the coffee machine had just broken. It was so kind of her.
It felt so welcoming to be able to take coffee and tea throughout the day or night. Also the evening meal was simple but very tasty and there was always soup, salads and bread, as well.
The price was similar to other hotels but included tea, coffee and evening meal.

It was a little quaint. Not your regular run of the mill place to stay, which is nice. Nice size room looking into a courtyard.

Karlskrona was a wonderful surprise for us as we were just stopping over on our way to another destination. We had some extra time, so we visited the Maritime Museum which is excellent and a must-see experience.

I stayed in Karlskrona one night to help my son get started at his new school.
I will visit Karlskorna again and that time a bit longer.
It will be in the spring or in the summer when I imagine Karlskrona is more pleasant to visit.

Beautiful old city.
Beautiful old city. But the county (kommun) seems not to deeply understand what it means to have a city that is a UNESCO world heritage site. They insist on modern but ugly buildings and asphalt parking lots everywhere. A friend of mine describes it as "technocracy". Those who decide have in mind to facilitate their own work and lower costs, it is easier to maintain a paved parking lot than a garden or a path with flowers around it. It is more profitable to have parking lots than green areas and parks. A land is more profitable than caring for a rocky area. And this is done by taking over small community projects and even the municipal plan itself. A sadness. It will all end in a couple of pompous buildings and lots of parking lots and private buildings with balconies. A shame simply because the asphalt does not have to be cared for and the gardens do. State laziness. It is easier and cheaper to maintain asphalt than a garden.
...Its very windy, good and warm clothes! :)

Karlskrona is a small town, located by the sea.
Karlskrona is a small town, located by the sea. Wonderful views, beautiful nature and kind people.
Nice restaurants, especially Antonios, Mont Martre and Elsas lilla krog. Also good food at Arts thai but no alcoholic drinks there. Very nice food.
Go by boat to Nättraby, and visit a small medieval church at the last stop. Go to Aspö by ferry without any costs. Go swimming and visit "Kastellet".
The apartment was a home away from home. New, clean and well equipped, furnished and immaculate. The owner was exceptionally brilliant and went over and above throughout my entire stay from picking me up from the train station, showing me the facilities, running through the local attractions, sorting out breakfast the way I want it, helping me get some medication from the chemist when the local ones were closed and offering me a ride to the office. AAA-star rating!
A special experience if you want to try out a tiny house or just enjoy having a more autonomous atmosphere than in a hotel in a very quiet place with nice surroundings. The view from the balcony is into the green. The bed is very comfortable. From my point of view, even though it was not explicitly stated as allergy-friendly, it was perfectly suited. Extra bedlinen were bookable for around 26.5 Euros for two people.
I stayed there two nights, and than caught the ferry to Poland. Communication was excellent. They do not do meals, but there is a fully equipped kitchen to cook your own meals. There are also a number of good cafes nearby as well as supermarkets. This does not fit in with what everyone would want, but the premises are clean and it is well organised.
The Hotel Statt is a typical old style hotel. If you look around inside you will see that it is in a famous old building. We got a nice room looking out over the nearby church and square. The breakfast was great, as usual we found everything we wanted. Finally we got some great restaurant proposals from the person in the reception
I liked the kitchen which was clean and free tea since for short stays I usually don't bring it with me
also I have a problem with train and come 2 hours late fot check in to the hotel with no phone and still manage to check in without any problem for what I was extremly grateful
The breakfast was good. The location was excellent, close to the city center and very close to the Karlskrona Marine Museum. There are many restaurants nearby or within a short walking distance. Beer is exceptional at the hotel restaurant, must try!
Both shared living rooms were unbelievable cosy and we felt really like home. Owners gave us valuable tips for restaurants & activities in Karlskrona and offered us everything we could wish for. Probably the best breakfast we ever had in an B&B
The location is beautiful and very central, you can walk everywhere in central Karlskrona. I also love the concept of staying in an old prison where they have maintained the prison vibe but made it very cosy and appealing.
This hotel is nice and not expensive. The people are very nice. But it is rather far from Karlskrona. It is in the outskirts. You have a big parking of your own. A restaurant is nowhere to be found. The breakfast is fine.
A very clean and comfortable hotel located in the city centre. Despite being close to the main area of the city it was very quiet during the night, no disturbances. It feels like a very thought-through design.
Free juice, water, coffee and tea during the stay. Breakfast was adequate. Rasmus, the front office staff was very helpful. He fixed the shower gel & hand towel situation.
