The hosts - Marlene and David were absolutely wonderful. Very accommodating, and thoughtful (Marlene left us some breakfast in the room which we thought was very kind). The garden hut has all the facilities that you need. Comfortable and quiet, great location, close to the restaurants and local bars. Wish we stayed there longer! Next time!

Victoria was easily accessed, there were many markets and most people spoke English. There are frequent rain showers that lasted a few minutes which is a relief as it is hot and humid most of the time. The restaurants were great but for South Africans it worked out expensive to eat and drink. There were far too many cars on the road and simply no parking available in Victoria. lovely sights and scenery . The roads that lead over the mountain give way to absolutely breath taking views. The local busses and their drivers were a menace on the road but they provided value for money public transport.

Not the type of capitol city many of us are used too. You'll see it all within 2 hours. The tourist offer is pretty slim at best, while any tourist related item prices are very steep. In Seychelles, it's the beaches you'll enjoy, not the city atmosphere.

Victoria is ok, but we spent most of our time renting an apartment (Villa Bella) on the North East point, which was perfect for us. The North East point is far away from any touristy areas, so you'll need a car, which I'd recommend anyways to go to the different beaches, trails, supermarket etc. So stay elsewhere than Victoria is my advice!NinaNorway - 6.0Scored 6.0
As the capital of Seychelles, Victoria is a must see.
As the capital of Seychelles, Victoria is a must see. It is the cultural centre of the country. But the restaurants are very average to poor. Be prepared to pay tourist rates for everything and forget about coffee, there is none that is drinkable. For those in a hurry, two days is enough to see Victoria.

The bathroom is even more spacious with those lovely raining shower! Since it’s at the hill, we also get both garden and sea views. The breakfast is absolutely delicious. Freshly made coconut cakes, pan cakes with papaya jam, fruit smoothies, fruit parfaits, omelette are definitely to try. Even the fruity water taste refreshing! Hotel also able to arrange airport transfer at $600SCR per trip. Great location to Victoria, which is the Mahe city center.

The departmental store and bus stop is next to the property. It was quiet and peaceful, far from the hustle bustle of the city. The staffs, Emily and Tabrez were very helpful and guided us about the Island very well as we were the first time visitors to Seychelles. Since we couldn’t get a chance to get a car on rent so we took a bus and enjoyed the island view via bus and dropped off wherever we wanted to. This gave us the liberty to enjoy on our own.

Big room good cleaned room, nice staff, good breakfast in the morning. Breakfast is like everywhere in Seychelles quite basic. Luggage could be stored at Hotel after checkout and also having a shower before flight back was possible :) Nice restaurant "Marie Antoinette" directly under the hotel.
