A breathtakingly beautiful property , with attention to minute detail with a caring and friendly team that delivered an outstanding experience .
The cuisine and service at the award winning Teracu restaurant on the property was simply amazing showcasing the best ingredients in a hearty but yet beautifully presented plates.
Jorge, Francisca , Rafael, Maura and Alexandra were spontaneously warm and hospitable and made the Douro valley stay one of the most memorable highlights of our two and a half week trip to Portugal. Each of them were experts in their respective fields and went out of their way to make it a very special and delightful experience for us.We will surely visit this property again and recommend it to all our friends and family..
Thank you guys for making it so!

The location is not for everyone, but we loved it.
It is isolated from the nearest villages, but the views more than compensate for that you're pretty much required to have dinner in their, very good (!), restaurant if you want to have glass or two of wine.
Featuring a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, garden and views of inner courtyard, Casa Dona Eufémia is located in Pinhão, 26 km from Douro Museum.

The room was easy to access and the self check-in is very straightforward. Communication with the owner was nice, and they even left a taste of Porto for us in the room. The location is great, right in the heart of the Douro Valley.
Featuring air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony, Casa Rodrigues is set in Pinhão.

The location is good. If you have a large group, and you're not concerned about aesthetics, and have a very small budget, then this is suitable. The terraces were a plus.

We drove to Pinhão.
We drove to Pinhão. The roads are slightly terrifying but the views are spectacular.
We were there in March so not everything was open. Best restaurant was Writers Place! The walking trails through the vineyards were fantastic!

The perfect spot to explore some of the lovely Quintas the Douro Valley has to offer. Would definitely recommend Pinhao as your base. We drove to Pinhao from Porto which was great for sight seeing and super easy. We visited the three Quintas that are within walking distance from Pinhao train station which were lovely. I’d recommend making a reservation in advance for dinners or lunch where possible. But we also did a few walk ins.

Pinhao is stunning. with good selection of restaurants in the evening. Beautiful wineries. As the wineries are built into cliffs the drive to Pinhao and around is not for the faint hearted. The roads are very narrow some without safety barriers. However if you can get past this it is worth it for the scenary. It is a sleepy village but everyone is so friendly. One or two days maximum is enough.

Excellent location on an S bend on the river Douro.
Excellent location on an S bend on the river Douro. Sleepy village atmosphere but with plenty of activities around the railway boat trips and quinta wine tasting. Some good restaurants. Wonderful views if you climb up through the village. Watch out for the dogs though - they are always enclosed but can be extremely aggressive.

The position of this hotel is breath taking and the staff are really helpful. Be careful when booking, some rooms are in the main building but some are away up and down a very, very steep lane. Not for anyone with a disability. We used the restaurant and although the food was lovely, we thought it was a bit pricey. It was good, but not that good.
We booked in directly at the hotel because we had to change our accomidation unexpectedly. Everything went smoothly. The room had a River view and lovely shower with good smelling shampoos. The breakfast was amazing (we were the only guests at the hotel because on low season and we were served on table). The restaurants is of a very high quality. Wine tour with a reduced price for hotel guests. Walking distance to Pinhao village. We also took a 1,5h walk tour up to the wine hills with incredible views. Water bottle and a house beer for free.
The 2 bedroom apartment is vast and has a small balcony with a view of the Rio Pinhão. The beds are comfortable and Ana has made sure that we have everything we need to make our stay pleasant. The fridge and freezer were well supplied, we had a surprize cheese plate awaiting us, hot, fresh bread every morning, an extensive list of things to do in the area. Ana was kind enough to help me with suggestions for a special restaurant for Valentine's Day. There's also a washing machine. We're staying here again if we return!
Fantastic tucked on a hill surrounded by olive trees and vines (perfect for a morning hike) and located at walking distance to the Pinhao town. The House has a real homy feel to it and is well appointed. The fridge was stocked perfectly for us to make nice breakfasts in the morning and the clothes washer was a nice bonus as we are traveling across country. We also enjoyed a nice evening using the wood burning BBQ. This house is perfect to enjoy this incredible wine country and the beautiful views it offers.
The location was picture perfect, the property had everything you could want for a short or long stay. The apartment was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Ana stocked the fridge with so many wonderful treats we were delighted! The daily fresh bread made us want to stay forever! 46 is the house number, between two store fronts in a large, yellow housing unit. Directly across from a cute little wine shop. Pinhao is transforming and therefore a little sleepy, it was great to have a place to call home!
Beautiful property, stunning views, lovely room with huge deck, great shower, good breakfast, friendly staff. Best of all, the person at the front desk went way above and beyond at checkout. When it was impossible to book a taxi to take us to our next hotel in the area (Pinhao is a small town with very few taxis), she asked someone to fill in for her and drove us there herself in her own car. We were so appreciative, but she graciously brushed off our thanks. What a generous gesture!
Host’s very welcoming and helpful, resolving an issue with the door very quickly. Property was very clean and had great amenities for a small room. A helpful tip if you stay in this property, is that the bed lifts up so you can store your luggage. Lovely to also have a terrace to enjoy, with a good view of the Douro and only a short walk to the river itself. Superb location and highly recommended Pinhao as a place to stop and enjoy the beautiful Douro region.
Friendly, helpful staff. We had to leave early on our final morning, and the staff provided a 'picnic' breakfast to take with us on the train back to Porto. Pinhao is a beautiful town to visit on the Douro river, surrounded by vineyards. We took a self-guided walk around one, which ended with a glass of port. The owner of Dois Lagares House also produces good wine!
Amazing location with great view inside a vinery.
Only few minutes of drive from Pinhao.
The hotel staff is amazing, super friendly and will do anything to improve your stay.
The winery is outstanding and you must take a tasting tour in it.
Plenty of parking space.
We can't recommend it enough for visiting the Douro river and its wineries.
It is a very quiet place, a tiny village. We liked very much the pool as it was extremely hot. The possibility for self service, using the fridge for storing our cheese for the evening meal we made for ourselves (note you have to buy all your groceries in Pinhao) sitting outside in the evening was Fabolous.
The hotel was able to upgrade our reservation from a double room with river view to a junior suite which was a nice surprise for my husband. He was able relax and enjoy a pleasant dinner at the hotel too. We had a beautiful view of the Douro river and hillsides of terraced vineyards. Lovely property.
A very nice place to unwind and relax in following some hectic days travelling. The apartment was close to the centre, spacious and clean with everything you needed. The terrace afforded fabulous views over Pinhao and the Douro and pool looked inviting, although we didn't use it. Breakfast included.
Pinhao is a beautiful place to visit and this apartment was great! Lot of space and a super convenient kitchen. The host, Pedro, was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast at the door every morning was a much appreciated attention.
This place was fantastic. The place was super clean, staff fantastic, lovely outdoor area and pool to relax. Perfect to explore the Douro valley area. Situated about 4km out of pinhao in a gorgeous village. We loved it.
Pedro & Sara are the best hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Pedro took time with each guest to explain where to go & what to do in Pinhao. The property is exceptional, especially the roof top space.
nice location, few minutes walk to Pinhao across pedestrian bridge. Easy driving to nearby Quinta’s. Welcoming hosts, deluxe room very spacious. Property very clean and onsite parking.
The location could not be better. The terrace overlooking the Douro Valley were stunning.
We would definitely stay again if our travels brought us back to Portugal.
cosy house, very well located to spend a couple of days in Pinhao and to hike in the wineyards
Helena is really attentive, and hear breakfasts arr first class
