The staff was extremely nice and helpful, especially the cleaning staff who also oversaw breakfast, whenever I needed something they always helped immediately and were very kind!
The hotel is located in the city center, so it has a great location. It's clean and cozy, the breakfast options were nice, but slightly limited.
It's an excellent choice for the value.

The building was wonderful and modern, and restored and renovated with its character intact. Different views from many angles, close enough to town, yet removed for a pastoral stay. Room had all the amenities, but they did not replace the coffee pouches except once during my 5 days. Pasteis de Nata was the best I had on the islands. Bottled fizzy water was a nice touch. Good fresh cut fruit and figs. I appreciated that I could take my breakfast to my room without any fuss. Homemade cookies and celebratory cupcakes on April 25 were a very nice touch!
With its privileged location on Angra’s Main Square, the Azoris Angra Garden – Plaza Hotel is well-positioned to explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Great location in the center of the old City, close to museums and Port. The staff was very nice and professional. In the restaurant facing the beautiful Duke of Terceira Garden they serve great food at a reasonable price and a fabulous breakfast. Although right in the middle of Angra it was very quiet. If it were'nt for the unpleasant experience of my first evening I'd give the hotel at least 9 points.

What I liked the most were the old streets, with the buildings, including the Angra do Heroismo Museum. However, there were a few minor annoyances:
1. The Tourust Information booth was useless, and you couldn't book a tour on-site.
2. The routes were pretty narrow, and people parked on the street, and nearly everyone drove, which made it a bit perilous for those on foot.
Nevertheless, the people were nice, and most spoke English

We did a lot of walking as it’s often the best way to get to know a place. Angra has much to offer in the way of history, beautiful public gardens, views - we climbed Monte Brasil - churches and eateries.

Beautiful, walkable downtown. People were so friendly.
Beautiful, walkable downtown. People were so friendly. Stunning views both looking at Monte Brasil and from Monte Brasil looking back toward town. The pink cathedral was very interesting, worth a stop in. Food was excellent! We especially enjoyed O Forno for dessert and the many tapas restaurants on Rua de Sāo Joāo. We also went scuba diving and found Nuno with Deep Blue Azores to be fantastic - wonderful dive master and very interactive underwater. Wonderful island and already itching to go back!

I was only there for one day, which was definitely not enough! Still, I was able to do a hike at Monte Brasil and explore Angra do Heroísmo downtown. Really recommend Monte Brasil if you are looking for some nature near town. Besides that the view from Obelisco do Alto da Memoria is amazing! I had lunch at Tasca das Tias, a really cute restaurante with great food.

Loved this hotel! The staff was excellent and very friendly. The breakfast was superb and it begins at 5:00 am which is fantastic if you have an early morning departure. We had dinner at the hotel and the food was great and reasonably priced. The location is ideal being right in the center of Angra but quiet especially if you have a room facing the beautiful gardens. The room was a decent size and they have a fridge and tea kettle which I love to have in a room. Not all places do.
Nice stay at Monte Brasil Hotel. Very nice staff and room. I liked the location as it was in the center but it was quiet at night. The breakfast was pretty good with nice scrambled eggs and decent breads. The coffee wasn't to my liking but I find this to be the case in most hotels in Portugal. Bars and cafés have wonderful coffee so I just would grab an expresso close to the hotel. Overall experience at the hotel was positive.
Excellent design, super sympathic employees, good breakfast, perfect dinner in the hotel restaurant called "Oficina" for our 4th wedding anniversary. Bed and pillows are soo comfortable.
Christina in the reception and Soraia in the breakfast and the others that I don't know the name: "thanks a lot".
Nothing to complain. Perfect holidays in this beautiful island.
Location, location, location! Hotel Ilha is perfectly located amongst cafes, restaurants, shops, and the marina. We also received outstanding CustomerService from the night clerk GiGi? As a bonus, the AC was super-cold, the shower had plenty of hot water, and the shutters blocked 99% of outside light so it was easy to sleep well.
The hotel was very modern and comfortable with good facilities. It’s located in the center of Angra do Heroísmo and close to restaurants if you want something walking distance. They have a inside and outside pool with Spa which was really nice to relax. Staff was amazing and very attentive to details.
Room was very spacious with a couch and side table; and a balcony overlooking the backyard. Use of common kitchen was very helpful, and so was the staff. Nice breakfast. Close to grocery store, and 10 min walk to city center. Easy and inexpensive parking in front of hotel.
We really liked the location of the hotel. It has an easy access to the center, beach, restaurants, shops, etc.
Our room was big, clean, with an amazing view.
The buffet breakfast offers a good range of options, such as eggs, cold cuts, breads, fresh fruit, beverages.
Front desk staff is amazing. Breakfast buffet is yummy and plentiful. Loved our room and the whole ambiance of the hotel. Also, how often will I have the chance to sleep in a 16th century fort that's also a historical landmark?
actually I think it's the best hotel in value for money: it's renovated, close to city center and ocean pool. Breakfast is really good - there is everything that you need: cheese/sausage, eggs, fruits etc
The Hotel was EXCELLENT , the Service SUPER , I m HIGHLY recommending the Beira Mar Hotel .Food both for breakfast and at their restaurant was Super. A 5 stars stay for me.
Very helpful and warm welcome! Perfect service at the hotel and up to date advices for my touristic plannings. New and very nice styled hotel. Will come back!
Modern, confortable hotel in a wonderful location by the sea. Very good swimming pool. Very good breakfast. The room with balcony with sea views was perfect.
Location, friendliness of staff and owners and beauty of the farm. A piece of countryside in the heart of the city of Angra do Heroísmo. Highly recommended!
