Always on the Move
A city on the move, Warsaw is constantly changing in an effort to rebuild what was lost during World War Two. There’s no better example of this than the stunning Old Town Square, where pastel facades sit alongside dome-topped spires.
Starting here is the Royal Route which passes several historic buildings on its way out to Wilanów, where an ornate Royal Palace is set in a huge park that was the retreat of kings since the 17th century. Just as grandiose is the Palace of Culture and Science, Stalin’s gift to Warsaw that still manages to evoke feelings of hatred and love in equal measure. Go up to the terrace for panoramic city views.
Other cultural offerings are the Warsaw Uprising Museum, considered the best museum in Poland, and traditional bars that still serve down-to-earth food washed down with a shot of vodka - a throwback to the Communist era. Don’t expect to find a seat though – there aren’t any.
Warsaw also has a thriving club scene and more shopping centres than you could throw a stick at. Not that you’d want to, as you’ll be too busy picking up the bargains.
Just outside the city is Warsaw Airport, efficiently linked by public transport to the city’s hotels, guest houses and hostels, available on Booking.com.

Una ciutat molt gran plena de contrastos. La ciutat vella per un costat, preciosa però poc cuidada, la ciutat amb edificis mastodòntics d'influència russa i la ciutat que vol ser moderna amb grans edificis i gratacels. Per a mi la ciutat vella és molt bonica, molt, i també els palaus i edificis històrics de la ciutat, però li falta encant. Així com Cracòvia està cuidada, Varsòvia és una mica anàrquica en el seu estil. Crec que val la pena anar-hi i observar la seva història. Els varsovians són molt amables. La ciutat de Varsòvia em va sorprendre en positiu.
La ciutat de Varsòvia em va sorprendre en positiu. El nucli antic és magnífic, gran, espaiós i amb molts edificis històrics i grans monuments. I la resta de la ciutat amb grans edificis i avingudes a l’estil soviètic. Em va decepcionar el barri de Praga. I potser per visitar un barri jueu és millor el de Cracòvia ja que el de Varsòvia està ple d’edificis nous i de l’època soviètica i no et pots fer tan a la idea.

És una ciutat que te un casc antic petit que aviat el tens vist. Te coses interessants per visitar i els desplaçaments són fàcils malgrat el trànsit. El conjunt urbà és bastant impersonal i monòton. Una ciutat amb molta història al damunt, sobretot història recent. Hi podem trobar moltes restes del nazisme i de l'epoca soviètica. El centre històric és bonic però et deixa una sensació estranya saber/pensar que és tot pràcticament reconstruït després de la 2a Guerra Mundial.

Fora d aquí , no hi ha pràcticament res) Estava net El preu i que esta entre l estació de tren si vens de Cracòvia i el centre , però tot i això , no tornariaXavi BNEspanya
