Great hotel directly located in the historic center. The hotel has one of the best rooftop terraces of the city. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. They offer a lot of services, tours and advice. We also used their drop-off laundry service, which is great. If you are going to Arequipa, stay at this hotel!

It’s a beautiful colonial building right on the corner of Plaza de Armas. Location is perfect. The rooms are a good size with nice bathrooms.

The bed was comfortable, and although the rooms are not soundproof, the hotel is surrounded by a large park, so it is relatively quiet. The decoration of the hotel is very tasteful, and for being an older property, it is well maintained.
A special mention to the staff: they made it a truly unique and enjoyable experience. When we had a problem with the water in the bathroom, they promptly sent a person to fix it. When we asked to change the shampoo and soap devices, they did it as soon as possible. We asked for extra complimentary bottled water and they provided that. We wanted to use the jacuzzi of the hotel, but because of maintenance, they offered us to use the jacuzzi in a suite. Due to a delay with the availability of the suite, they offered complimentary room service and let us stay as much as we wanted in that suite.

After travelling on an overnight bus and arriving in the early hours of the morning, Casa De Avila was a dream to check into with its large comfy bed and hot shower to help us relax.
