It was by far the very best stay of the entire New Zealand trip (and all the other accommodation were lovely too).
But in the end, it's the people that make the difference. At Forest Waters it was like living with friends from the very first second. Delphine takes great care of her guests. The rooms are lovingly furnished and the rest of the house - which can also be used - is very cosy and tastefully decorated. The hot tub is sensational.
We had great conversations, learnt a lot about life in New Zealand and got lots of valuable tips. Getting to know Delphine and her husband was a great enrichment.
Kingsgate Hotel Paihia offers a memorable waterfront location, just 100 metres from Paihia wharf. The hotel offers views across the Bays brilliant blue sea and out to Russell.

This is great stay specially with kids. It's got a games room and two swimming pools overlooking the front beach. The Restaurants, shops and peer is with in walking distance. A big up for housekeeping and the beds are a bliss to sleep on. I love the fact that our room has a communal basin (kitchen and bathroom Basin) outside the bathroom and that the toilette is separate from our bathroom which incl a shower and a bath. Reception and night staff is always available and very helpful will surely visit again when exploring the Bay of Islands.

The hotel is perfectly located on the esplanade, within walking distance of the wharf, restaurants and attractions. It has such character, but for an older building, offered comforts such as a lift for the rooms on the first floor. I loved the decor, a mix of old and contemporary. There was a wedding on that night but I was not affected by the noise at all, the windows must have double glazing.
The 4-star Copthorne Hotel & Resort Bay of Islands offers an amazing location next to the historic Waitangi Treaty Grounds, a 20-minute drive from Keri Keri Airport. Guest enjoy free WiFi throughout.

The stay was pleasant and it's got a lovely natural set of pools overlooking the ocean. The beds was comfortable and it's got a nice feel to it.
Just 250 meters from sandy Paihia Beach, Paihia Pacific Resort features an outdoor pool. Flat-screen cable TV is standard in all rooms. Free parking is available on site.
