Charming. We were greeted by the sheep and peacocks. Extraordinary night sky. I only wish we’d plan to stay several days with day trips to explore the area. We will be back if ever in the area again.

The property was warm, well lit, secure and comfy. Not on the main drag but close to town.
I didn't meet the hosts, due to late check-in, but everything was so easy and professionally set up that it was unnecessary.
Can't comment on the wifi because I had my nose in a book.

A surprise for us as we didn't research the area before...
A surprise for us as we didn't research the area before booking to stay there, so discovered it was a gold mining centre and still has the oldest continously run post office which is very cute - a must see if you stay there. Nice restaurant there and lots of architectural history on show!
We liked the character, location, friendly welcome, comfortable bed, good shower/ensuite, and that there was a shelter for our bikes. The room is small but comfortable.
Ophir is interesting and the Vestry is near Pitches Store - fantastic, you need to book, they do breakfast at 10 am as well,
Ophir was a wonderful quiet and very interesting place to stay. Hosts warm and welcoming. Really appreciated the way there was a simple set up for charging e-bikes as we were doing rail trail.
