It was clean and tidy. The shower pressure was good and lots of lovely hot water. The beds were comfortable and having extra bedding available was good as it got quite cold. It was good to be able to cook for yourself if eating out wasn't in the budget. The owner was very informative and friendly. Walking along the lake was a great way to start the day.

We stayed for two nights in March.. There were 8 of us. 5 adults and 3 children. The lodge is an easy drive into Rotarua and in a fabulous location on the lake with free access to kayaks, BBQ, 2 hot tubs and a small pool. The children had a great time and the lake is really shallow so they were safe to go out quite far on the water. Lots of outdoor space and play areas. Welcome hamper of wine, biscuits, chocolates and sweets was a lovely touch. The big screen TV was also great for the kids as we had a rainy morning the second day .

Super cute cottage, great kitchen and BBQ, tucked in with its own private little seating area on the grass. Warm and comfy bed. Host was extremely friendly and offered fresh towels and anything else we needed topping up on for our stay. We're able to wash and line dry our clothes which was very handy. Friendly dog too!
We had a lovely stay and felt right at home. Highly recommend. Just be aware you're not walking distance to much.
