Duvauchelle Seaside Motel, hotel in Duvauchelle

Located on the beachfront in Duvauchelle, Duvauchelle Seaside Motel features barbecue facilities.

The well located Motel is in a quiet location that is only a stone's throw from Akaroa township. The beautiful Onawe Track is about at its doorstep. The grounds were pretty with lots of flowers. It was the only Motel that allowed us to bring our pet dog on this family trip and we appreciated it. We also appreciated that they accommodated an earlier check in as we were passing by the Motel before heading into Akaroa.

It was a great place to stay. The room was very clean & the room had very good soundproofing. The bed was super comfortable. The balcony area was great, too. The proprietors were welcoming & very informative on the things of interest & places to eat. I really enjoyed my stay. Great place to relax.

When we arrived at the property, Deb the owner greeted us so warmly. Unfortunately my wife had a knee injury which prevented her from climbing stairs, Deb made sure we had a ground floor room. The facilities were great, the room was immaculate and the view was outstanding! All in all we had a fabulous time at the apartment and would not hesitate to return and recommend to family and friends. Thank you Deb for making our stay so relaxing and enjoyable. It was dog friendly, lots of interesting walks around. Nice to see the sea, although its not a sandy beach, but it was still pleasant to wander around. Hotel serves good food Close to Akaroa abundant bird life

able to take our dogs (which slept in the ute which they are use to doing) and have the water just over the road from our room, could have taken chairs over and just sit there watching the day go by and seeing my fur kids having fun in the water, we had dinner in Akaroa not far to travel so this place is great to stay. Will be there again . We only stayed one night but next time will be longer so we can look around the area more.

A comfortable room, nothing outstanding, friendly managers and next door to a quiet pub/restaurant with good food and the area is very quiet at night. Great views of the inlet about 50 m across the road from every room. Also significantly cheaper than staying in Akaroa, which is only 10 minutes away by car.
